1/15/24, 5:59 PM - Odd comment on Caymus. I’ve only had it once and did not buy it as clear in my single note.
7/15/23, 1:43 PM - I only bought one 2013 to maintain the vertical but 2013 Bordeaux is terrible vintage.
11/25/22, 3:02 PM - I didn’t mention my grandparents house was built in 1755…old dust!
9/15/22, 6:16 PM - On day two it dies taste like overripe plums. So yes ripe with sweetness but not my cup of tea.
9/14/22, 9:28 PM - It’s my son’s birth year so saving my bottles for his 21st birthday 2026! But these 2005 vintage Bordeaux are taking forever to come around so I suggest patience.
9/15/22, 1:48 PM - Thanks! I really enjoyed a 2003 Montrose on summer solstice! Will save my 2000 magnum for 2030!
7/24/22, 5:15 PM - My thoughts exactly - drank on summer solstice in Seattle!
9/12/21, 6:32 PM - Bought this in 2016 for my parents 50th. Best port I ever tasted- two minute finish that I swear I could still taste the next morning. Got me started on old vintage ports as a favorite winter pastime
8/20/21, 6:48 PM - I gave this wine a terrible 80 in 2020 note but I have to agree now it is tasting a bit better. Still thin for a CA cab but I like restrained left bank Bordeaux and maybe was in mood for a light wine with Mexican tortilla soup. 88 today
8/6/21, 6:12 PM - I agree 100% with this note but would give 90 points
4/30/21, 7:45 PM - Best handle ever!
3/11/21, 8:26 PM - Hi skifree, I had a similar great bottle of this vintage last year and have one more bottle on cellar. Let’s share it with Slye post vaccine!
8/2/20, 7:28 PM - I agree. Slightly bitter green peppers on opening. 1-2 hours in became solid Brunello with some cherry notes . On hour 3 the Madeira emerged. I would drink up.
5/17/20, 4:16 PM - Just curious - how did you taste blind over Zoom?
12/2/19, 9:21 PM - I only decanted 30 minutes but drank over two hours and it improved over time.
