This one was disgorged in 2011 (can tell by #s on the neck of the bottle and the fact that it was the thick neck bottle design that they used before switching to a skinnier neck in 2012).

Second bottle of this in about 2 months. Absolutely fantastic. The extra bottle age really does these well.

Also, comes off a little oxidative (which is not surprising given its deep golden color). Finishes like a cheap vodka. Not my jam.

Most previous notes are spot on. I must have caught this bottle in a really good spot because it was absolutely singing tonight.

Double decanted. As I poured into the decanter, the entire room filled up with a really nice leather smell.

On the nose, this is really bright and still showing a lot of red fruit. Very clean bottle, no brett. This wine had a musty, old furniture kind of thing going on that was really enjoyable.

One of the more enjoyable bottles I've had in a while. The texture was so silky and luxurious, almost Burgundian. Still a ton of fruit, no signs of being over the hill. Still, I would drink now. It is in a really good place and don't see it getting much better than this.

Definitely toward the earthy/spicy spectrum of cab franc. Only a faint hint bell pepper. On the palate this is extremely airy and lifted. Great finish of black pepper. Really great stuff for the price. Very pure, expressive cab franc. Totally clean bottle, no brett whatsoever. Will definitely buy again.
