Got better with time but past its prime.

8/14/17, 7:54 PM - I've had 15 bottles of the 94 as recently as last week. This is subjective for sure, but I think its best days are to come and has a long life ahead. I had a 1954 not to long ago that was amazing.

clear light garnet. bright sour cherries, cranberries.and floral. tannic and somewhat austere on the finish.
not impressed. based on three bottles.

Love this wine. Very dark ruby, nearly opaque. Nose of garrigue with a floral side (I'm guessing that's the mourvedre), licorice, and ripe fruit. In the mouth it's got a lot of body, tons of rhone character, and a lot of tannin. I sense a little heat on it too. This wine would be well served with a few years rest, but it's pretty damn delicious right now.

3/9/10, 10:26 AM - I agree Grossie. These are delicious now and hard to keep from drinking up.

Wine was nothing amazing. I somewhat enjoyed with dinner at Renzo's (Boca Raton, Fl. decent restaurant). Nose was barely there, Wine was tannic, we basically popped and poured. It complimented the Italian meal. But I don't think I would buy this vintage again. I had the 01, and it was better, but not by much.

3/5/10, 3:47 PM - This wine needs time and the 01 needs even more.
