Very one dimensional. Never opened up. Pretty good structure but lacked the depth and complexity that are usually present with Sorella.

It amazes me that this winery has not been discovered as the Washington gem that it is. This is a Cab lovers merlot. Rich, huge body, amazing body and length. The selfish me hopes that it stays a secret so the price stays low. All the varietals I’ve had from GCC have been stellar. Not a big fan of the label... no one is perfect.

Decanted 2 hours which was enough. Well integrated, bold red fruit. Great balance and texture. only medium length. Merlot is showing at this point.

This is a fantastic Merlot. Decanted for an hour, which it needed. But after that it started singing. Had with New York steak and it held up very well where many merlots won't. Great backbone and very nuanced through the finish. I have about a glass left for tonight.

Not any better than my first tasting. Very little heat and too flabby.

I’m with CSIMM. This is a little too much candy for me. Reminds me of the 40th Anniv Caymus.
There is a lot to like but mid palette comes across as over extracted and flabby. I hope it gets better with age because I bought a lot and this is my first bottle.
I know this will and does have a lot of fans but not me at this point...change my mind Maybach.

Not the usual depth of an old vines bottle but well structured and balanced. Still a fantastic value.

This is ready to drink. Elegant and integrated. The Merlot gives it a softness yet it is still a subtly powerful bottle of wine.

Needs more time. Damp earth, fresh mushrooms, firm tannins, medium length. Has the beginning of nice soft sweet berry finish, but just not there yet. I will wait a year on this.

First of 3 bottles. Decanted for 1 hour but still closed nose. Dark cherry and cinnamon spice. Some oak and gravel. Nice texture but medium length. This needs some time to pull together, or maybe it won't.

Decanted for 3 hours. This is a big, bold, bad ass wine that is very enjoyable right now. Integrated now, but will still pull together more in a couple years. Very deep garnet colored. Deep dark plumb, over ripe strawberries and cherry pie. Graphite and chocolate as well. The texture and mouthfeel are what stands out most. Luxuriously silky.

This has come together beautiful. Decanted for 90 min. Powerful bouquet. There is nothing subtle about it. Bold, spiced, and nice acidity. Smoke, vanilla, mushroom, over ripe strawberry. Firm tannins and long finish. I was disappointed in first two bottles, but the time is right to drink now.

30 min decant. Needs much more and time in the bottle. It is very well structured and balanced already. Just needs time to unwind and open up that fruit. Great texture and mouthfeel.

very well made and enjoyable. popped and poured, opened fairly quickly. Very earthy and briney up front with tight dark berries mid palate. Well balanced acidity that gives way to a very nice vanilla nutmeg, sweet cherry and a mid to long finish. Nicely layered and intriguing wine.

Big and bold up front. Strawberry, mocha, lilac, some earthy notes but not much oak. Smooth and full body, but a little light on the finish. A very easy drinking wine, but I like the earlier vintages that have firm tannins and more acidity. I wouldn't let this go much longer.

Decanted 90 min. Needs much more time than that. Less funk but also less length. Wonderful inky, olive aroma and palate, but the less memorable finish. With a few more bottles left I am planning for more time in the cellar and a longer decant.
