Consistent with prior note. Combining solid backbone and light body, nice lavender perfume and salivating smokiness with a touch of spiced pepperoni, all in a very affordable barolo. Big tannins may add flavor and depth with time. 91-93

Huge oak barrel presence on nose, somewhat vulgar, smokey. Some plums and vanilla. Decent spicy and savory palate, good structure and balance. Not very inspiring. Lacking personality. Ok wine. 88

Nice and round. Intense and savory. Huge freshness on first impression, with green bell, sweet cherries and cassis, peppermint, along with the typical bittersweet profile already expected, of pepperoni, parmesan, gooseberry and caramel. Softened and mellow. Drink it now. 92

Intriguing and full of personality, nuances and style. Big orange peel and citric raspberries on nose, along with seriousness of leather, dark incense and old library scent. Huge vibrating structure, massive tannins and cutting acidity, so big on palate yet so sutil on the weight. Raspberries, strawberries, cinnamon, salinity, spices, tobacco, all involved by this elegant and austere feel, so dry and so vivid. Feels young and unsettling. Gotta give it time. Amazing piece of work. 94 for now. 94-96

Superb precision on this wine, amazing harmony and solidness, combining warmth and elegance, as well as richness of flavors and scents. The central core is graphite, dirt, black pepper, butter, blackberry and vanilla. Intense, both on nose and palate, perfectly balanced and built of salivating sour tannins for this unique piece. Just great. 93

Had a total different experience with this wine this time. Felt more unbalanced and unripe than I remembered. Some good plum, violets and pepper notes but was expecting bigger presence and solidness on palate. Felt loose and common. Good savory finish for this good piece. 90

The Primofiore can deliver uniqueness and maintain the quintarelli profile on the same bottle. Bittersweet with its bacon, cherries, smoked and green pepper, and showing a fresh character with a welcome greeness reminding of lemon leaf and tea. Good structure and nicely balanced. Fun wine. 92

What a well made malbec this Bramare. Cobos always delivers these big and bold wines, solid and structured. This is the case for this intense and deeply flavored malbec, bringing red meat, caramel, blackberry, blueberry and lots of spices, with the typical heat on throat and the involving style. Spiced and sweet, but never vulgar or nauseating. Nice piece. 92

Deeply impressed by this master piece. Hard to imagine any other italian wine that can deliver such intensity, depth and complexity at once. On nose multilayered, mind blowing purity, richness and of countless scents. Sweet cherry, boysenberry and blueberry jam, bubble gum style, several toasted nuances, burnt coffee grain, toasted peanuts, distinct walnut, amazing honey fervency, deep spiced herbs and pepper, referring to basil and rosemary, maybe sage or mint, as well as floral scents, lavender and cloves. It keeps shooting, never stops. Huge palate attack, sweet on front, causing goosebumps after swallowing. As solid as it gets, perfectly balanced and beautiful Integration between acids and oak. Big cherry jam, of the hook concentration, licorice, cassis, pepperoni, bacon and hot spices, delivering the longest finish one could imagine. Truly amazed by this nectar and can only imagine what this bottle has to offer in 5 or 10 years. 97-98

Hedonist and involving beauty, far from being vulgar. Quite the opposite actually with its redberry and floral notes of unique richness, so elegant. Strawberry and raspberries with layers of violets, roses and lavander, send one to that intriguing mind set that only master pieces of wine manage to do. Complex, reveals fervency referring to mustard and pine trees. There is some noticeable intensity variation that should mellow out with cellar time. Velvety, full and cosy touch of dried flowers and opulent cherry, vivid tanins and a delicious caramel, coffee and tobacco long aftertaste. In a few years, this may be found along with the best wines of 2009. 96+

Closed nose but noticeable complexity with plums, cassis licour, blueberry, cinnamon, lots of vanilla, burnt sugar, licorice and holding refinement with mild spices and horse sweat. Extremely solid and remarkable persistence, but clearly young with massive tanins and robust structure, far from its peak. Reserves unpredictable complexity level, but for its precision and boldness already leaves a strong statement. Better in 5 to 8 years.94-96
