I don’t drink a lot of NZ Pinot, but maybe I should. This really hit the spot. Well balanced with a nice spicy palate and long finish. Tough to put the glass down. Compares really well to a village burgundy 2-3x the price.

My first bottle a year or so ago, was underwhelming and boring, but time has done this wine well and this bottle was a really pleasant surprise. Fruity, plush, balanced with a really attractive nose. Good to go now. Terrific for its price point. Wish I had more.

What a joyous gulpable red. A little puzzled by the previous note. The wine is definitely fruit forward, but there is great balance here. Sneaky grippy tannins on the backend. Really tough to put the glass down and at around $15 a great value.

Really impressed by the quality here. This has aged gracefully and shows a very good balance. The fruit is ripe but fresh. Really enjoyed it.

Truly delicious tonight - opened up relatively quickly and it was very difficult to put down the glass. Elegant, juicy with good complexity. Excellent value

Great bottle. A lot of secondary development, but still quite youthful. The bottle needed over an hour to open up and it was singing as we were finishing it off.

Feels like this didn't budge one bit from my last note 4 years ago. Robust and very more-ish. This is an ager.

I will echo Oaktown's note before me. This is a clear winner and one of the finest examples of the grape outside of Piedmont that I've ever had. Reminds me of an elegant Barbaresco and would be great to sneak this into a blind tasting. I wish they kept making this. The 2006 version, which I've also had was clunkier and more Cali than Nebbiolo, but they nailed it here. Too bad they stopped making this wine.

Very tasty at this stage - definitely new world, but has good balance. Rich palate yet very easy to drink - a great party red for the winter.

Fantastic bottle, which at the age of 20 is drinking perfectly. Vivid, rich Burgundy, reflecting the vintage, yet perfectly balanced and nuanced.

Excellent. One of the better domestic whites I have had in a long time. Rich, but perfectly balanced with excellent roundness on the palate.

Brilliant again - two years after my last bottle it seems to me as the sweetness has taken a step back and the wine is becoming more secondary. Beautifully put together. Wish I had more

Went through two half bottles of this - perfectly fine and typical Meursault, but lacked oomph for me.

Delicious and drinking really well at the moment. While it has the signature concentrated fruit of the vintage, it delivers it in an elegant and balanced package. Some noticeable oak when it was first open, but that integrated well quickly. Excellent length and persistent finish. While probably better in 10 years, it is totally delicious today.

A herbal, umami version of pinot that I really liked - almost no fruit, but this is pure and elegant! I like it and really excellent value at this price point. (My wife didn't like it as much as I did, so you have to like the profile)

Nice rustic character and certainly pleasant to drink, but it did not blow me away. Maybe my expectations were too high. Solid, but not showing the best that Cornas can offer tonight.

It often amazes me how much of a difference and extra year of aging a wine makes and in this case, this bottle was much better than what my last note indicated. Very aromatic and open - a balanced palate showing precise fruit and quality that you would expect from a good 1er cru. Enjoy

Definitely on the upper end of my oak tolerance level, but this is well made and the oak integrates well with air. Good balance and vosne spice on a rich dark palate.

Wow - this has really opened compared to a bottle a year ago and was drinking great. Focused, elegant burgundy with good depth and attractive cherry fruit. Reminded why I really liked the 2008s upon release.

Opened this earlier than I had planned, but no regrets as this wine delivered a lot of pleasure tonight. Still on the young side, but with an hour or so of air opens up. Very clean and fruit driven profile - lacks a bit of the Rhone funk that I love, but that's pretty much its only flaw. Great balance and length. Would appeal to old and new world palates alike. Should drink great for the next 10-15 years.

Solid example of a Cali Syrah, that appeals to an old world palate. This is rich and there is a fair amount of alcohol, but it is well balanced and not over the top, delivering a tasty appealing palate.

Not as thrilled this time around - maybe I caught it in a funky face, but the fruit was a little four squared with way too much obvious petrol flavors. Not bad and should benefit from more time in bottle, although curious how the screwcap will affect the aging of the wine.

This has held up quite well for a 20+ year bourgogne, but I am guessing it has had better days. There is hint of what a fully mature Burgundy can deliver, but this lacks the concentration to deliver anything more. Pleasant food wine and nice intellectual experience, but not much more.

Excellent 1er cru in a so-so vintage. Drinking well today, showing good combination of elegance and tension. Some spiciness to the dark cherry fruit. Nice length. A no-brainer for $35.
