Birthday Champagne!

Egly-Ouriet Brut Grand Cru NV. 70% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay. Disgorged September 2019. 50 months on lees.
Rich but elegant nose: red apple, grapefruit, sunripe lemon, sweet and sour redcurrant, rhubarb, toast and hazelnut. Fresh, round and medium body. Elegant small bubbles. Rich but delicate. Complex and long. Lovely balanced acidity, minerality and perfectly ripe fruit. A good evening indeed.

Klar, M- intens, sitrungul mot gyllen på farge. Ren, M intens, under utvikling. Rik aroma av honning, bivoks, gul stenfrukt (nektarin), gule epler og moden sitrusfrukt, samt lett røyktone under. Tørr men saftig i anslaget med smak av gule epler, nektarin, honning og mineraler. Fremtredende syre, uten å bli for dominant. Rik vin med god konsentrasjon. M+ lengde, med syrlig og mineralsk finish. Deilig vin.

Strawberries with a hint of watermelon and herbs. Balanced fruit and acidity. Good quality quaffer.
