This bottle was nothing like the last. After an hour decant, berries and an array of winter spices fill my nose with pleasure. The palate is makes my mouth salivate - delicious garrigue, dark red berries, and a minerality that was not present in previous bottles. All components of the wine are balanced. The finish has acidic bite, and although it is not as smooth (yet; tannic) or as long as I would like, it is never the less delicious. I wish I had more bottles. This wine has made a drastic change or the better since my last.

Too early, but delicious. Decanted for 5 hours. Excellent nose and has all of the elements to be a spectacular wine at some point down the road. Resist opening this now, it is too early even with an extended decant. I have a few mags left, and they will not be opened for at least 15 more years.

Amazing wine. These Wind Gap Wines are definitely in a different league than most California Syrah / Rhone Rangers (yes-I know-Gross generalization & I love the wines that are completely opposite of Wind Gap). This wine is earthy has many mushrooms, olives, and meaty hints of deliciousness!! I really love the combination of full delicious California fruit coupled with old world characteristics. Excellent wine and lengthy finish of Au Jus – I wish I had more than one remaining bottle. I will buy all that I am offered.

Opened and drank over two days. The initial glass was extremely tight; the cork was put back in the bottle and it sat at room temperature in the kitchen over night. Day two -this wine has an amazing nose!!! Flowers fruit, and the hallmark of greatness (despite the second label) the palate is full of blackberry, blueberry and dark fruits. This wine is still very tannic!! Despite being opened for two days, this wine still requires time to integrate. Lay your bottles down and resist the urge to pop. I will re-visit in two years or if someone I trust posts something to the effect that the wine is ready.

What a great bottle of Syrah. The wines most redeeming character trait is a yummylicious green olive element. The nose is extraordinary full of fruits and olive paste. The palate highlights the perfectly ripened pure fruit which is simultaneously integrated with olives, beef au jus, and various autumn spices. The finish is lengthy and the wine transitions throughout all phases (start to finish) smoothly. A delicious wine that was decanted for 3 hrs prior to imbibing.

Decanted for only 30 minutes and consumed over an hour and a half. The wine has a dark berry profile with pure fruit and round tannin. The wine is a little too hot for me right now (not overly so - but not integrated....yet). The finish reflects more pure fruit and is at least 10 seconds in length. Judging by this bottle, I would estimate this wine has yet to see it's best days, which I imagine will not be for 5+ years. Unless you have multiples, hold. If you must drink now, decant for one hour minimum. A Solid Cab that just needs more time to integrate. 91 Points.

Amazing wine. This wine has been open for 6 days (in the fridge). The wine is still singing on day six. Full of tropical fruits and a pronounced apricot note. Balanced fruit and acidity that transition from mid-palate to an extremely lengthy finish. Delicious wine with amazing longevity.

Initially popped and poured. I let this sit in the glass for over an hour after an initial taste. The nose on this wine is amazing. The nose consists of dark berries and that unmistakable signature BTK unexplainable goodness! - WOW! - The palate reveals everything I love about Napa Cabernet! The fruit is so pure and delicious! Pardon me...... but seriously; Jesus Christ would have served this wine at the last supper! The mid palate caresses my tongue and seduces me into an extremely long finish. This is like meeting a French Super Model in Paris who seduces you to marry her and you live happily ever after in her Chateau with a cellar full of every delicious wine you can imagine.......Even the dragons in the moat sing like angels when tasting this wine. Did I mention - WOW!!!! Amazing wine – worth the money (and I honestly did not think I would say that). This will cellar for many years to come. If opening now, decant for at least one and a half hours. Amazing wine!!!

I swear that everything Morgan touches turns to gold. My first Dolinsek Ranch. Pop and pour. The nose reveals amazing purity of dark fruit with a floral element that makes me smile. In the mouth this is heaven! An attack of blackberries, currants, and sour cherries. Amazing fruits coupled with perfectly balanced acidity. This wines fruit carries on through the mid-palate to its lengthy finish. This wine is the definition of follow through: initial attack, seamless mid-palate, which extends into a mouth watering finish. Everything is delicious, balanced, and the fruit is pure; tasting "unaltered" and the furthest thing from "candied". The finish is extremely lengthy. WOW! I am glad I have more of this wine. I will try and keep some to follow tomorrow. This wine is not going to fall apart anytime soon and has well hidden round tannin in the background. If you have multiples, do not feel guilty opening and following this wine now. Delicious!!

I apologize for the lack of detailed notes on this wine - it really deserves detail. It has been a long Fking week! The wine has an amazing on the nose - berry- and something indescribable but delicious. The palate is fruit central. Initially (upon popping) it was too hot - after two hours the heat is gone and the wine in balanced. Man this is yummylicious wine!! WOW! The finish is lengthy and the wine makes me happy. Minimum two hour decant now - or wait 5 years plus. Delicious!!!

Decanted in the glass for a period of over one hour. The nose offers classic Bordeaux nuances coupled with flowers and cigar box. The palate offers everything I want in Bordeaux. Amazingly ripe fruit while still maintaining classic character. I am not sure what the controversy is about this wine – it is not over the top at all. For lack of a better descriptor; the wine simply tastes delicious and is special while maintaining its sense of place. The finish is lengthy - full of cigar and delicious fruit, all coupled with round tannin. Delicious wine, and re-enforces my love of Bordeaux. Worth the price; I need to backfill. Drink with a decant or continue to hold for 10+ years.

WOW! Opened for one hour (Audouzed). An excellent nose of melon, flowers, butter, and caramel. On the palate the best descriptor I can come up with is lychees fried in butter. Some more melon in the background. Lip smacking delicious. The finish is lengthy and mouth watering. Balanced acidity and fruit. This wine is sumptuous and makes my mouth water thinking about it.

"Audouzed" for one hour, and the wine sat in individual glasses for an half an hour following that. A nose of honey and some type of flower overall somewhat muted. The palate was initially delicious, but turned somewhat cloying. The wine finishes somewhat bitter. The finish is short but sweet full of simple sugars. Drink now.

Easy 95+. I drank this after a 3 hour decant. I did not take notes at the time, but this wine was amazingly delicious. I recall commenting on the depth of fruit and enjoying the long finish. This was my lone bottle of this, but I have more 2007. If the 2006 is any indication of what the 2007 has in store, I will be a happy camper. Hold or decant at least three hours.

Decanted for four hours. The nose is subdued, with some red berries and a hint of mushroom. The palate is not a subtle as the nose, but frankly I was expecting more from this wine. In the mouth the initial impression is of sour cherry, some mineral, followed by a short acidic burst with a 7 second finish of round tannin and not much else. Was 2003 not known for ripe fruit? If it was; there is none present here. None of the mushroom/forest floored pulled from the nose (which was closed) were present on the palate. Nothing wrong with this wine, I expected much more however. Drink or Hold. I received this bottle as a gift and have no plans to purchase anymore of this bottle.

Pop and pour after drinking a Copain Syrah. Oh man, I wish I would have bought more than a case of this. An amazing wine that will create a Burgundy lover upon first sip. The nose is old world. Mushroom, and ancient burgundy cellar; this with such a purity of fruit - I cannot explain it. The palate reveals amazing fruit, but most importantly balance. Such a delicious combination of history and depth in the mouth- Exceptional! The finish of this wine last for over 12 seconds. Everything is balanced - fruit / acidity/ tannin/ and that indescribable Burgundian character. Amazing QPR and a sensational wine.

1st bottle of three I ordered off of WTSO. I wish I would have ordered more. Pop and pour. This wines nose is amazing for what this bottle cost. Eucalyptus, black cherries, and berry patch rise from the glass. This is nose is excellent. The palate reveals classic Napa Cabernet in its profile. The fruit is vibrant and pure. Black cherries, more eucalyptus, and finishes with blackberries. The finish is approximately 8 seconds in length. The wine is integrated and balanced. It displays the attributes of both Napa and the 2007 vintage. Delicious. This was recently re-offered by WTSO and I passed because I had not had the wine yet. If it is offered for a third time I will buy more. For those familiar with the 07 Educated Guess; this wine is more complete and tasty.

I agree with my last note. This wine has really come around with a few years on it. I bought these for $12 a pop, and now wish I would have bought at least a case of it. This wine is a perfect example of entry level solid Bordeaux. The nose smells old world. The palate reflects this tenfold but it is coupled with 05 fruit. I mean this is an amazing value in a sea of "Value Wines".

Everything I do not like about Australian Shiraz. This wine was stewed, jammy, and flabby. One of the bottles I bought when I first seriously got into wine. I bought for the points at the time. This bottle proves buying based on points is a mistake. Seriously this wine seemed to have the components to be delicious, but it is as if the wine maker decided to reduce each bottle on a Bunsen burner before releasing. I actually cannot think of a wine I have ever had that has been this stewed.

Decanted for 5 hours and consumed over 1 hour. This wine was made in Heaven! Everything I want in a Brunello (except more age) is encompassed in this delicious elixir. The nose sings cherries, fruit flavoured pipe smoke, and possesses an earthy element. Above all the nose smells like glorious Brunello (which descriptors cannot explain). In the mouth this wine combines token Italian acidity, delicious cherry based Brunello fruit, and nicely balanced earth elements. WOW, this wine in my opinion truly reflects authentic Brunello; that is not to say it lack fruits or any other element. This wine was simply created in a manner true to the appellation. The finish goes on and on and ends with balanced fruit and acidity. Round tannin, this wine will become even greater with more age. This is a wow wine; one that makes you unable to put your glass down. If you have multiples, do not feel guilty opening one now if you have sufficient time to decant (5 hrs+). Delicious!

This wine is a monster! The 07 fruit struts itself nicely. The structure consisting of the amazing fruit, acid and tannin are all present and balanced. This wine will need years to resolve. Having said that if you have multiple don't be afraid to pop a bottle with a lengthy decant. I tasted this day one and it was so primal and raw I put the cork back in and waited for day two. The wine has barely moved, but is showing better. The nose is cassis, berries, and everything ripe and dark. The palate explodes with dense fruit, somewhat port like, but very delicious. The finish has round tannin and is lengthy. A tad bit hot, but I am sure this will integrate with time. This is a 15 year + wine waiting to come together. Excellent value if you have the patience or multiples to baby kill with an extended decant. 100% Carignane. This will improve.

Strawberries, sweet flower, and summer on the nose. The palate matches the nose for the most part, albeit more intense. More sweetness than the nose indicates; lychee, melons, and rose water. The finish has faint astringency but really does not hinder the wine; it just makes it not seamless. What a delicious wine, and nothing like any other rose I have tasted. I am really digging Abe’s wines. 9/10 they are an amazing experience, and usually delicious. I will drink my remaining bottle neat the end of summer.

Decanted for one hour. Initially very hot, both on the nose and palate which over time dissipated and eventually was concealed completely to taste. The wine is definitely new world: candied cherries, cranberry, and vanilla (oak). Having said that, it is delicious if you prefer this style. I personally do not mind the style, but it has it's time and place. Super fruit / super new world wine; not for the faint of heart. I enjoy the California fruit on this. 5 second finish with integrated tannin. I'm not sure how long this will age for ( I have long term doubts) based on the tannin and acid, but none of my bottles will make it beyond 5 years. Good value if into this type of pinot.

Decanted for 5 hours. The nose sings of flowers and dark berries. The palate reveals delicious ripe berries, currants, and everything beautiful about California Cabernet. The wine floats in the mouth with round but present tannin. Some noticeable alcohol, but it will integrate with time. The wine is so delicious and makes you want to drink more. The finish drags on with tannin, pleasant vanilla, and lasts for a very long time. Too bad I do not have more of this particular bottle. It gives me great promise for the remainder of my Pott wines.
