Was beautiful with deep dark fruit. Would never guess it was a2001 nor that it was a merlot

Domaine Carneros rose is my favorite. But the Pompadour I
Has even greater intensity of flavor.

Still had much life, but needed major time to open. Drank some first day, had a bit of vegetal quality, but the next day was smooth and lovely soft tannins.

Soft, feminine blend of all 5 Bordeaux varietals. Beautiful fruit and silky mouth feel. Was wonderful the day of opening, but was exquisite the second day.

It is ready to drink, but I think it will last much longer. Drank1/2 bottle one day and the second half the next day. It was softer more deep dark fruit concentration. A wonderful wine for a good price

Nose is light souls bios and fresh cherries. Palate is dark cherries with a hint of chocolate. Nice acidity keeps the fruit fresh. I am not a “Pinot girl”, but this was lovely and went beautifully with a light beef curry

Decanted for 3hours - deep blackberry, dark cherry fruit with a little chocolate and licorice o n the finish. The next day very silky and velvety with softer blackberry, morello cherry and plum. This was hand carried back from the winery (obviously pre 911). Still had much life left. Wish I had a case. It is special to be able to bring back memories with a bottle of wine. My driver who took me to that winery became my friend and even asked me to his house for dinner and to meet his family!

Bought this in a little grocery store in Sardinia for£13. It was just a lovely wine that went perfectly with the braised lamb shanks. Nice fruit. It is always special when wine can evoke wonderful memories.

I usually adore Haber, but was disappointed in my first bottle of the 2017 Howell mountain cab. No smoke taint, but never blossomed like all the other Haber wines I have had. I realize this is young, but was told that the 2017s should be drunk within 5 years. Not much fruit or finish.

Took several hours to open and the next day was very nice. The dark fruit finally showed up the next day. Quite quaffable. Surprised it is lasting this well this long

Decanted for two hours. No discernible taste
difference. Very fruity at the front of the palate, but does not go the distance. Not very complex, nor did it open as time went on. Don’t hate it, but I most likely will not be buying Caymus in the future. For the money spent, I could buy better. I wonder how this bodes for Caymus buying up the Suisan Valley

Beautiful brioche notes. Still has bright citrus, but tempered with time. I’m not sure that I would have known it was a California sparkler in a blind tasting. It was a most entertaining bottle of aged bubbles.

It took a long time to open up in the decanter(3 hours), but once it did it just kept developing over the next 3 hours. Starting with great dark brambly fruit. The finish was the best watermelon flavor....it stayed in your mouth at least another 30 seconds after it was consumed. Who would have thought a 22 year old GSM would have this much flavor. Still thinking about this wine the next day.

Deep pink color. Not as subtle as most roses. Definitely could stand up to a main course, but a bit heavy for an aperitif. Red currant, definite minerality. Not much finish

Bought on release and have cellared since. Every time I taste the Palomas I think of sitting in Barb and Jim’s kitchen drinking these fabulous wines while petting their dog. These wines just keep getting better and better.it still amazes me. Yes, it has dark plum and other strong, dark fruits, but when just the taste and smell of the wine 18 years later brings back such amazing memories - you know this wine was made with love and care by two special people.

Couldn’t believe that the wine was still going strong. Subtle fruit nose. Blueberry in the mouth with lovely long finish. Decanted 2 hours, but by 3 hours in the glass it was gorgeous. A mouth full of happiness.
