A pretty, medium bodied nebbiolo. Presents with a nice mouth feel, with cool cherry fruit, a hint of strawberry and herbs and earth. The finish is a bit short, dry and with a hint of drying tannins. Overall very well balanced, and there was a noticeable improvement after a couple of hours, but I agree with others that noted that this a simple wine that ultimately lacks complexity. In summary, a good example of fresh young nebbiolo, easy to drink with obvious appeal to those looking for a food friendly, accessible wine. $20 from Woodland Hills Wine Co, very reasonable but there's lots of choice for Langhe nebbiolo's at this price and I might be tempted to explore alternatives next time.
