Closed right now. Lots of minerality and good acidity but the fruit is hiding. Needs a lot more time. Will be great.

Not as good as we were expecting. This wine lacked complexity and finesse. It was dull, flat and overoaked. Definitely not worth the price.

Needs more time. Still tannic. The 1998s are drinking much better right now.

Medium purple. Extermely bright youthful looking. Transparent. Med viscosity 13%. Intense bouquet of spicy black pepper, leather and wet earth combined with pruny black fruit. Surprisingly light in the body (med - ). Great concentration with low complexity. Med to long finish. Tannins that are almost non-existant. Great drinking wine but nothing extraordinary. Took it to Flor's B-Day with a 1996 Lafon.

This wine was fabulous. Still youthful in appearance. Dark, deep purple red. Some minor bricking happening at the edges. Much more youthful in appearance than expected. Medium intensity nose of cedar, chocolate, cassis and black fruit. Smells sweet - which is surpringing for such an old wine. Beautiful taste. Medium body. Great concentration. Tannins are soft, soft, soft. Lots of fruit left. Finish lingers for a long time. Hard to find anything with this wine not to like. I hope the rest of my bottles are this good.

Good color and concentration. Lacks acidity to make it a special wine. Had next to a 1994 Ducru Beaucalliou and the Ducru had significantly more acidity. Good but nothing special.

Medium brick red. Some age but still clear and youthful. Sublime Nose. Earthy barnyard, mushroom, black fruit, and cedar or forest. Med body. Soft, soft tannins. Good acidity. Very complex with a med-long finish. This is what good bordeaux is all about. Drinking beautifully right now. Did not decant.

A little too light bodied for me. Great drak ruby red colour. Red fruits, coffee, chocolate. Extremely well balanced and silky.

Clear yellow gold. Looks lighter than you would expect a Sauternes to be. Bouquet of Honey and tropical fruit. Predominantly pineapple. Smells better than it tastes. Medium body. Acidity is too strong. This wine is not in balance. Finish is short to medium and becomes metallic almost at the end. Flavours are of pineapple and mango. This is a pretty one dimensional wine. Not a lot of complexity. But not bad for $20.00 for a 375ml. Would not buy more unless needed to serve Sauternes to a big crowd.

Beautiful Sauternes. On the nose dominated by Pineapple. Complex flavours of honey, apricot, pineapple with spice on the end. Long, long finish. This wine is drinking fabulously right now. I bought a case.

Served with Maui Beef Ribs. Decanted 1/2 bottle then served rest straight from bottle. Brick red colour. At first musty aromas of wood and cigar box. Later became perfumy and aromatic. Tastes of spice, balck pepper. Big flavours but finish was surprisingly short and this wine lost its peak very fast after opening. In hindsight, would not decant. Second day wine was cloudy and lost.

Opaque wine. Quite a bit of sediment. Brick red colour. Nose of licorice, jam, raisin. Outstanding complex bouquet. Tasted of smoke, pepper and licorice. Delivered on the taste but lacked finesse. Mild tannins. Long finish.

Great wine. Enjoyed it with slow roasted hickory smoked ribs. Deep purplish red colour. Complex aromas of game, bacon, hay, olives, rose and violets. On the palette flavours of flint or stones. Long finish but very subtle. Final ending tasted a little like pepper. Drink now.

Decanted this for a few hours. Sloshed it around. Still took a long time to open up. Good Bordeaux Second Wine. Drank it with Filet Mignon in Port Sauce. Great Match - but I would not buy another bottle. Clear deep ruby colour. Nose was intense with musty, earthy and oak aromas. Tannins were strong but smooth. Full bodied wine. This needs more time or serious decanting.

Drank in a flight with Cuilleron Candives and Pirramimma. This was the weakest of the three wines. But they were all very good offerings. The oak is stil a little overpowering at this time but the flavours and aroma are very promising. Very good for a Okanagan Syrah.

Drank this in a flight with an Okanagan Syrah (Church and State) and a Pirramimma. This was the best of the three. The nose was dominated by Lychee and was very perfumy. The tannins were well balanced. Did not have as much punch as the Pirramimma but was far more balanced and refined.

Tasted this in a flight with a BC Syrah (Church and State) and a French Syrah (Cuilleron Candives). This wine had the strongest flavours. Licorice and pepper on the nose. The oak was really strong on the taste. Porbably needs a little more time for the tannins and oak to balance out overpowering the fruit at this point.

Very nice everyday drinking wine. Same aromas and palette of Osoyoos Larose. Prefer to drink this straight from the bottle without any decanting.

Bottle could have been oxidized. Nose was chemically. Taste was there. Peppery. Old world style. Not overbearing but spicy.

Lots and lots of tannins. Too early to drink this bottle. Should develop well though. Needs at least another couple of years.
