Tward's note below is very accurate. This carries extremely well the 13.5% ABV and warmer vintage. Dominating flavour is cherry pit and sour cherries. Combines the midpalate helft from the higher alcohol with the matt fruit, minerality and tautness of CF from limestone terroir. Great charachter and to think this is Baudry s entry level retailing at EUR 20

I also agree very much with Tward impressions. Every year, Grézeaux represents one of the strongest buy in France.
But it ain’t their entry level. Cuvée « domaine » is. It’s often very good, but the 2018 is actually falling apart, over ripe and dull.
    Cheers!

Like so many '16s this shows wonderful aroma and perfume, good depth and concentration but without much palate weight. As such it pretty much wafts over your palate.

It's a bit of a bummer I only have a 6 pack of this elixir

Interesting to check my old notes. I've only ever had Chinon from this producer and indeed I've not been particularly kind in the scoring department. Admittedly not a style at the top of my list but this is pretty good. Smokey fruits, a little tight and sinewy early, but it settles and opens up nicely. Plush leafy berry fruits come through and really soften the palate. It's pretty good but there are better ways to spend $45.
