This wine was incredible. Like 2" thick purple velvet. It was deep and textured. Peppery finish. Notes of violet, blackberry, elderberry. Lots of acid. If you can get your hands on this, do. Drink within the next year.

An excellent wine at a great price. Cedar and tobacco on the nose. I tasted currant; husband found lots of strawberry. Got even tastier the longer it was open. Drink now and over the next 18 months.

Surprise, surprise, surprise...This wine has some life in it! The front end is lean and cedar-y. It has some good acid. The finish is unctuous and jammy! It's not gonna get better, but definitely drinkable. Will have it with a steak for me and pork chop for him.

Whoa. There was still life in our bottle! The color was deep purple. Rich and fruity. The nose was full of cedar. Berry on the front, a twist of fig on the end. A pleasant surprise!!

Sampled at the Clarence Center Farmers' Market. Tastes like a champagne without the bubbles. Nice body. Crisp and clean.

It was delicious. Exactly as the reviewer from January 2019 said. Crisp, acidic, fruity, but not sweet. Floral aroma. I want more.

WOW!! What a surprise. This wine is a maroon velvet jumpsuit, loosely fitting yet flattering. As in my 2016 note (and as others found), decanting was key. Blackberry jam, strawberry acidity. Lush. It aged much better than I thought it would. Now drinking at peak. Glad I have two bottles left.
Red
At the end of its life, but had enough acid and astringency to be drinkable with a rolled lamb roast. Raspberry amd herbal with a hint of peach.

What Chablis28 said. This wine isn't going to get any better. We have a second one that we will be sure to drink this year.

Mmmmm....jammy. Viscous and decently structured. I think it will age well, too. We paired it with grilled herb-crusted loin lamb chops. For $18. US, it's excellent. Satisfying. We will will buy again.

Much as GTS dominated the mound, he has also conquered the world of wine. It is not quite fair that one man should be so preturnaturally gifted in two arenas. The wine is incredibly balanced. It feels like velvet in your mouth and showcases the best berry and cherry qualities that Cab Sauv has to offer and features a hint of strawberry acidity. Oak is measured, forward, and adds structure but not harshness. Just the right % of alcohol for good aging. Drinking swell now.

Everything you would want from a Zin: a little fruit (fig, date, currant), some depth, structure; well-balanced.a swell wine, all around and an incredible value for the $$.

Spicy and hot; moves into fullness mid-palate. Short and a little fruity on the back end. Good acid. Red currants. Opened up after 2 hours. I might buy and hold for a year to see what happens. I bought one bottle on the recommendation of the store (and, hey, Kim Crawford). I will go back for more.

When you first open it...it's all alcohol. We recommend that you decant it for a half-hour or so beforehand. Lush and thick. Great legs. Pepper and blackberry rule.

Wowww...what a pleasant surprise. It has aged to a light amber color. It's musty, like fall. Well-balanced. We paired it with a rolled pork roast roasted with root veggies. Can't believe this is a 25 year-old wine. Drink now.

Oh. My. Word. This has aged into a great bottle of wine. The reportedly-harsh tannins have made this an ageable bottle. The nose was apparent on opening. Was silky and lush with a surprising number of layers. Currants and leather are prominent. Love that we paid $12.99 for it!!

Thick, viscous, velvety. Dark and deep, like an amarone. Well-balanced and soft.Dried black cherry. We paired it with lamb ribs with chimmuchurri and a feta/ cucumber salad. It was even excellent with the salad. If you can find it, buy it. Will hold for many years.

We were shocked. My husband opened it and said it was gone; closed, nothing left. I found some fruit. After about an hour, it showed it's excellent structure. Mush and well-balanced. Wow. Drink now. It won't get better.

This is a mouth full of Sonoma.I set my head upon the table with joy after taking my first sip. The scent is lush full, and succulent; unique to Sonoma Zinfanndel. Jammy, with blackberry and currant. Enough minerality to make it interesting. Slightly hot, but it will have great staying power. It was delicious with bbq chicken and ribs. Pezzi King is our favorite Zin producer and we were fortunate to have visited the winery a number of years ago. This is the first bottle we have had in a few years and we were ecstatic to see the quality, dimension, and fine craftsmanship is still there. Whatever you do don't buy this wine....all the more for us.

Crazy wine. When we opened it, it tasted like a skeleton with alcohol. After an hour, it blossomed. Soft and tender. Terroir present, clothed in silky leather. Drink immediately.

Upon opening the bottle and taking our first sip, my husband looked at me and said "This is an old wine. Are we gonna respect it or we gonna toss it?" It opened up beautifully after about an hour. Soft and well-balanced. Good acidity. Fruit is mostly gone, but it's still tasty and satisfying. Light yet somehow lush. You can taste the oak. I'd drink it in the next six months.

Wow...what a surprise! Well-structured and balanced throughout the palate. Needs about an hour to open up. Nice nose and good finish. Middle is delicate and crisp with good acidity. In a blind taste, you'd never know it was 20+ years old. Held up well but drink now.

To quote my husband: "It's not gonna knock your socks off, but it won't embarrass you either". At first, it seemed empty, with a lot of metal on the back end. But it seriously opened up after an hour of decanting. The little bit of fruit left is soft, subtle, and fading fast. Lots of tannins left. Delicious with provencal-herbed lamb and feta-cucumber salad. Drink immediately.

We couldn't believe this wine still had some life left in it!! The nose was a little gassy, but this blew off. At opening, the dried fruit was pervasive. It still has tannins. I taste dried apricots and mature berries. Air helps it. So happy we have more in the cellar....

Not bad! It is past it's prime but was tasty with provencal-herbed lamb chops. It has the "rotten egg" nose that is characteristic of the label and it blows off quickly. It's a little fizzy, too. Some currants and strawberries. Terroir is present. Drink immediately.

Drinking well. Big, good structure and body. When you first open it, you get a nose and mouth full of oak, so be sure to give it a little air. Leathery. Well-balanced. Lean on back end. Little to no fruit, but it will take more age. It won't make it to 2022. If you can find it, buy and drink between 2014-2016.
