Loved the glass-coating dark almost black color. Nice purple rim. Some blue fruit and light floral notes on the nose. Prune seemed the predominant play on the palette. Medium+ body, sort of short on the finish. Not sure how much better this one gets.

This really does need some time to open up. Gave it an hour or two decant and still needed an hour or so to show itself. Picked up some weight and finally surrendered a nice peppery finish. For $19 it's a fun wine.

Drank over two nights. So-so on the first night (88/89) and much nicer on the second (91/92). Easy drinking Merlot-dominated blend (58%) with the rest Cab Franc. Nice nose with bright red fruits (Raspberry and Cherry Cola). Medium body and finish, though the finish seemed to extend on the second night. Smooth tannins and light acidity as one would expect. Fun wine. Looking forward to trying the 2016.

This vintage was cited the most at Anomaly's spring 2017 vertical tasting (2000-2014). No one mentioned any clear favorites. The next most cited standout was 2006. No one cited the 2013.

A nicely balanced wine. A bit muted and not as interesting as the last time I drank one, but enjoyable and decent value.

As many have commented this is a lovely wine and, as Napa cabs go, a great deal as well.

Gave it a 2-hour decant. Nice color, deep as black, with a vibrant garnet rim. Floral notes on the nose with blackberry and plum and a hint of vanilla. Kept getting a soft cherry liqueur and mocha aspect to this which was fun. Balanced with soft tannins and enough acidity to keep the finish interesting, though it wasn't very long.

Really looking forward to trying this again.

Soft and creamy with notes of vanilla, licorice, and black pepper. Strong acidity but not overpowering. Really hope I can bury my remaining bottle and keep my hands off it for a good 5-6 years.

Drank after a 2013 MACDONALD so it was a step down but not that much. Nice smoky gravelly hints and grippy tannins. Moderate finish. Didn't realize it was unfiltered, which explained what we saw in the glass and decanter.

This is a special wine. Dark with earthy/mineral and floral notes. Beautifully rounded mouthfeel and silky tannins. Wonderful finish that just seemed to linger and linger. Can't wait to see how this matures down the road.

Coming along nicely...spicy, vibrant red fruit, sweet tobacco with a medium finish. Looking forward to checking back in next year.

Slow ox for two hours then decanted for another two. Nice floral and blueberry notes. Little chocolate hints which I enjoyed. Medium body and finish. No reason not to enjoy this now. Great QPR, wish I had bought a case.
