Licorice,plum and tar on the nose. It taste like a road being tarred in the summer with hints of those violet french pastille. I don't know why that tastes so good. I don't taste oak which is another bonus. The tannins are present and add a textural note but I would miss them if they weren't there.This is drinking perfectly right now.
