It’s kind of medicine-y. But bold.

Good with thick flavor, not Light and fruity like some CA pinots can be.

Easy drinking and not too stinky like many French wines.

It's really fruity to start. We decanted it but served immediately. I think it needs to open longer. It's a bit tart, but the aeration of the decanter and the cup helps. I would let it open for a couple hours next time. I know this can be a great wine.

This one turned out to be a bit corked. It was effervescent.

Used it to cook Italian sauce too - couple cups, and drank as I made it. Fantastic companion to a good big sauce.

We all need to have value wines that are good to drink too. This one fits solidly in that category. Look - if you're looking for exceptional, start with a Dumol or a Paul Hobbs. And pay for it. But on your third bottle and still going strong, why not go down a few notches and save some money? This wine tastes great. But it if you want great value under 20.

A bold, uncompromising red, almost like a petit syrah. Thick, delicious - can hold it's own with a steak but still remind you it's a pinot. From the fabulous San Remo vineyard in Russian River, this one's awesome.
