In its prime, drinking very well but will last for another 5 years; great balance, fruit and acidity; all that would hope for from an aged Barolo

Over the top, no balance. Maybe gets better with more age but think not as the wine is overripe

I have no idea how prior reviewers disliked this wine; it is drinking very well with a solid core of fruit and enough structure to add balance. Ready now and will be at peak for at least 3-5 years.

Wow what a wine ! Great fruit but has the backbone to sail on for years to come. These wines are SO under-appreciated. World class !

Very complex wine with multiple layers. Very much like a First Growth Bordeaux and certainly not the typical Cali Cab. Can sail on for at least 10 years and may still improve

Great complexity and balance, drinking fruit really comes through but tannins support length of finish, drinking very well right now but plenty of years of life left

Respectfully disagree with prior taster. This is drinking beautifully and has great balance and Northern Rhone-like smoked bacon flavor but fruit very pronounced, very complex. Can last for 2-3 more years

Much improved since I last tried 3 years ago as the wine is now in perfect balance with good fruit and acidity. Not the most complex wine but thoroughly enjoyable. Best now through 2020

Think others who tasted drank too soon as this wine has aged beautifully, showing great balance despite the high alcohol level. All the baby fat has been shed. Yet another great Chris Ringland wine. At peak but can drink over next 3 years

Very jammy and a bit over the top. Despite the big critic scores (WA99/WS97), I find this wine to be somewhat unbalanced and a rare miss from the otherwise stellar Alban lineup.
