7/28/2020 - Kucci Does not like this wine:

The wine must have been picked durning or after a heavy rainfall. The wine is watered down & disjointed. It may come around, only time will tell. I’ll cut my losses now but revisit my last 3 bottles in 5 years and see.

ruby red core transitioning to a watery rim. Semi Muted nose, you can smell the alcohol, and hints of oak, some cherry, blue berries. On the palate medium acidity, medium + tannin. Medium /medium + alcohol. Drink or hold for another 3-5 years.

Overwhelmed with a almost “sour” raspberry and oak. The wine almost tasted sweet. Did not enjoy.

Very fruit forward. started off with lots of sour cherry, which slowly faded off as the wine opened up. Decanted and drank over three hours, good acidity and firm grippy tannins. Will let sit for another three to five years before trying again. Very pleasant wine!

Tons of dark fruits, prunes, rasin, and hints of licorice. Will be drinking the remaining 3 bottles over the next year!

Drinking very well, this was my last bottle and I'm happy I opened it. Still lots of life and could go for another year however definitely in its peak!

Lots of ripe black fruit, hints of cherry and some prune. Medium body, medium acidity typical profile of an aged old world wine.

Purchased this bottle from Berns Steakhouse in Tampa, Florida. Wow, what else can I say, the wine still was full of fruits on the nose. Showing lots of age but still has great structure and noticeable tannins. I have to say, this wine has held its own and is drinking beautiful! such a beautiful wine. In its peak now, and will certainly drink well for another 4 + years!

Upon opening the bottle I was a little concerned. Bottle wasn't stored properly and the cork crumbled. Upon filtering and decanting the wine showed obvious signs of age. Light orange rim transitioning to a clear edge. At first very flat on the nose. Upon tasting the wine I found it to be a bit closed and nothing special. After an hour in the decanter the wine started to show its true colours. Even though this vintage is past its peak and on the decline it was still a great bottle. Smooth, light and easy to drink. Don't wait any longer, open now and enjoy!

I bought 6 of these bottles, and regret opening the first one to try. This wine is nowhere near ready to drink. Don't get me wrong, it was still fantastic for its age. However, this wine has the legs to go the distance. Consider drinking after 2025 up to 2050... As stated on their website, this bottle has extremely long aging potential of 50+ years..
