Disappointing, and possible a bad bottle. Thin and weak, with prominent alcohol. Redcurrants and not much else. The 2012 I drank a while back was delicious, so possibly not a fair representation.

Really enjoyed this. In a good place - soft and silky but still with some grip and power. Enough acidity to keep the mouth watering, and fresh red fruit flavours with a bit of barnyard. Big rich heady nose. Lovely.

Intriguing and very enjoyable now, this is going to be stunning with some age.

When first opened, it was full of energy and power - though a little disjointed. Rich but well-judged oak, lemon rind zing, plenty of acidity, receding to almonds and smoke.

It lost none of its momentum over another couple of days, but the rough edges were nicely smoothed off - becoming a much more harmonious wine. Bodes very well for the future.

Lovely. Well balanced with lots of interest and some complexity. Showed better than the previous bottle.

Opened gradually over an evening - those beautiful high tones of rhubarb, raspberry and cranberry making themselves known after an hour or so.

Very easy to drink - fresh and light, with some tannins and high acidity. No rush to drink it, will go a while longer.

Very nice. Opened with a ripe nose, passionfruit and gooseberries. On the palate, more gooseberries, lime, and a long mineral finish. High acidity - felt that it might need time still to settle down - could have been a bit better integrated, have had more finesse. Nethertheless, a fine bottle, and lasted 3 days in the fridge.

A rich, sweet young Kabinett. Riesling nose, and peachy acidity. Perhaps lacked a little focus/purity/definition, but very enjoyable.

Clearly 'natural from first' sniff, but settled down after a few minutes in glass. Light and fresh, smooth tannins. Moreish.

A lovely wine, drunk over two nights.

The bouquet evolved over the two days. To begin with, straightforward gentle buttery oak, but by day two the nose was revealing almond, lemon and floral notes.

Arriving full bodied, on the palate, it was just about rich, but still fresh and energetic. The wine then smoothed out into very pure, focused, lemon acidity, that lingered long on the tongue. Mouthwatering, moreish, and delicious.

For my money, this is good value, fresh, lively young village white burgundy. Not overly complex, but plenty of interest and really enjoyable.

Nicely balanced with food, cut through rich ragu, lingering dusty tart cherry finish. Full bodied, tannins moderate.

Very nice. Medium bodied, lively and energetic with fruit and acid up front, and a surprisingly mature finish for a young wine with earth and leather. Refreshing and great with food.

A well made wine, but perhaps not quite my style. Hugely oaky on first opening, with a bouquet full of caramel and buttery popcorn. The same on the palate, with dark fruit, gentle tannins, and a spicy finish. Mellowed out a bit by the next day, but still too oaky for me.

Vibrant with acidity behind a rich nose. Apples, citrus and a touch of honey. Long finish. Good but not profound.

Not exciting on it's own, high in acidity and not much else, with a slight funky taste.

When paired with a Lasagne really came to life - red fruit core backed with acidity. Tannins now soft after a in bottle, not really noticeable.

Not overly keen on this one.

The nose promised much, full not not overripe with scents of granny smith apples, lemons and moderate oak. The was a hint of liquorousness too, which presaged what was to come.

When tasted, it became obvious that this was a wine with potential, but that was out of balance. The same lemon and green apple flavours were present, and the oak a little more prominent, as was a certain creaminess. Acidity was notable but not jarring. The problem was the obvious high alcohol levels, which left a burning sensation on the back of the tongue. In an otherwise medium-to-light bodied wine, the alcohol dominated the other flavours and meant that while drinkable, it wasn't up to much.

Nice, but slightly underwhelmed based on price/reputation.

A textured, mineral wine, balanced with a long finish. Clearly well made but lacked a little interest. I didn't get any of the fruit other reviewers describe, just a hint of lemon. Possible it might open up a bit in time.

Clear ruby red in the class. Full aromatic nose, with sweetly ripe red fruit, but well in balance.

Light and refreshing, with raspberries prominent, complemented by fine pinot tannins. Very well balanced, and a lovely long finish.

Drink now, or hold for a year or two, but probably not much longer.

Lovely bottle. Blackcurrant and herbs on the nose, with a bit of cabernet green. Very well balanced and long, come powdery tannins make their presence felt, more dark fruit, and acidity that makes it perfect with food.

A bit past it I think. Fine tannins and high acidity, but little fruit, and not the enough complexity to make up for it. Some spice, but lacking body/interest.

Very nice. Powerful but measured tannins surround but do not mask core of dark fruit and hint of spice. Wears high alcohol very well. Long succulent finish. Could go a while longer, but unlikely to improve.

A bottle enjoyed over three nights.

At first, smooth soft tannins and red fruit, medium body, mineral edge and long acidity. Nice, but missing a little Syrah spice/complexity..

Went well with rare rump steak and roast carrots.

Day two - fruit subsided, spice a bit more prominent.

Day three - taken on a 'fortified' aroma, a bit past it now.

Very nice, if not spectacular, fresh and clean. Given evolution over three days, would recommend drinking sooner rather than later.

Drunk a few days ago, so can't recall detail. Enjoyed the wine, focused, balanced, lots of blackberries.

Very ripe bouquet, but lacking depth on the palate. High acidity, a short burst of red fruit and cherry flavour, and not much more. Perhaps a hint of spice, but it all died very quickly.

Fresh and velvety. Classic Barbera character, dark fruits and high acidity. Long smooth finish, lovely with food.

Stunning. Light, fresh, pure, energetic and completely profound. Deep evocative nose. Grenache and syrah blend perfectly, bringing complex fruits (red and black) , spice, herbs and more in a long long finish. Generous acidity and fine soft tannins. For €12, an absolute bargain.

Very hard to rate, I veered between 2 and 4 stars.

This is a very good wine, with a problem.

The problem: huge reductive character, that took a long time to blow off. Perhaps time in the cellar will help, but it's screwcap, so who knows?

Once you got past the sulphur, it was really good. Powerful fruity aromas, and enough acidity to balance the ripe fruit and young tannins. Long, rich and complex If the reduction goes with time, this could be really delicious in a couple of years.

Only 890 bottles produced!

This was a generous and plush Merlot, but with enough in the way of spice and tannin to keep it interesting.

Velvety soft nose, with sour plums and cinnamon on the palate. Opened up on day two with the fruit more evident.

Very nice, an ideal relaxed sipper for a cosy evening by the fire.

Not quite what I'd expected. At 14%, from what I believe was a warm year, I'd imagined something full-bodied and rich.

Instead, this was a very gentle, almost self-effacing wine. It took a while to open up, but when it did, there were delicate peach aromas and flavours, then a classic but smooth GV white pepper finish.

Elegant and fresh, perhaps it could have offered a bit more 'oomph'.

A big contrast to the Massif D'Uchaux - generous, rich and velvety. Soft tannins with lasting grip. Juicy berries on the first night, evolved to cabernet-esque blackcurrants and mint leaf by day two.

Memory a bit hazy - fresh, pure and clear. Red fruit balanced with acidity. Lots of energy. Drinking well now.

Drunk at a party from a plastic cup - can't remember much about it!

I know I enjoyed it - light body, red fruit but complexity came from a bit of spice on the back palate.

Pure, fresh and energetic. Cranberries and red apples on the nose. Light bodied, with succulent cherries and berries. Light bodies, fine soft tannins that linger a while. Zippy, and almost tart, but well balanced nonetheless.

Very nice, and may have scored higher if it hadn't been somewhat overwhelmed by the food it accompanied. Looking forward to my other bottle.

This wine was all about the texture. Whilst it had a gentle oak and lemons bouquet, what was really obvious in the mouth was the crisp, light and rounded feel of the wine. There was a little buttery oak, well integrated, some lemon and apple, and a big, long long, focussed and pure mineral finish.

Styled like a restrained white Burgundy, this is a deliciously pure expression of Chardonnay. Perfectly balanced, and very nicely settled after a few years in bottle.

Drunk with pizza on a lazy evening, and worked well, but would be spectacular with rich/oily fish or rich white meat.

This started with a noseful or very ripe, jammy black fruits and not much more.

More blackcurrant and blackberry followed on the palate, succeeded by black pepper on the finish and perhaps a ghost of smoked chorizo.

Medium body, low acidity, just a touch tannic. This wine lacked the backbone to stand up to the ripe fruit.

This was a very tasty, refreshing and energetic wine, with classic GV flavours.

Full and aromatic nose, with apricots, candied lemons and mineral notes.

It slips easily over the tongue, beginning with ripe stone fruit flavours and leaving a long, lingering pepper sensation.

Very good, excellent value.

This was a very tasty, very new world white wine.

On the nose, waxed lemons, ripe canteloupe melons and perhaps a hint of cut glass.

Full bodied and rich, with what was almost a hint of unctuousness. Flavours of melon, stone fruit, lemon and minerality. A little oak evident, but all kept in balance. Moderate acidity and a long finish.

Very nice, but perhaps I was expecting a little more from the price and reviews.

Nice simple Burgundy - full of strong sour cherry flavours, fine tannins and plenty of acidity. Stood up to a hearty sausage casserole.
