Stunning showing. Took it to a tasting and this absolutely stood out as one of the best wines. Give it some air to truly let this shine. Fresh and flinty and a nice bit of weight.

From magnum. Still needs to come together for a short while even at 5 years. Once it does it is highly enjoyable. Punching well above it’s weight class. No rush it seems.

Very nice. Improves with some O2. Some matchstick, yellow fruit. Balanced oak. Really nice weight. Solid. In a happy place but should hod for a bit.

Seemed a little off to me. The acidity was different to previous bottles. Missed the freshness. In stead the wine a bit of a bitter note. No score.

I well kept this wine gives so much pleasure. Perfect example of aged wine. Even 5 years after my last bottle this wine is in a very happy place. Drink up if you have any left. It’s worth it and will probably not improve.

First experience with Morgen Long wines. Won’t be my last. Impressive wine(flavor profile) especially for US wines. Stunning acidity, mineral but plenty of depth.
Needed some time in the decanter because the acidity was very prominent upon opening but evolved pretty quickly. Impressive stuff. I would say this has plenty of time but I understand Seth would rather see us opening 2020’s in the near future.
We had this alongside a bottle of Chassagne Montrachet VV BY PYCM. I have to say that stylistically these wines are quite similar. So don’t tell anyone but I would stock up on these before it’s too late….

Nice but definitely to young. Lots of acid and a slight bitter note in the finish. Some yeast /brioche. I recommend giving this at least 3 more years

Decent showing but lacking the wow factor a bit.
Has some weight and the acidity is there but never convincing to me.

Welll this was nice. Wasn’t to impressed by the previous vintage but this one is way better. More light footed. Nice freshness where last year was lacking acidity. 2020 proves to be a very nice vintage overall.

Surprisingly a little bit underwhelmed. Has medium plus weight, stonefruit, some lemon but expected a sharper edge on the acidity. Still a fine wine ofcourse

A little past peak. Upon opening a distracting acidic rim in in the finish. Improved with some air but didn’t disappear completely. Worked well with charcuterie.

Fresh, Chablis styled. Applesauce. More open than last year. Ready.

This was a nice surprise. Cousin of PYCM.
Really well made wine. Very light on it’s feet. Beautiful acidity in the finish. Will have to keep a eye out for more

Still on the young side. Nice to see a 2016 wine perform well. Elegant, soft acidity, a hint of tropical fruit, mineral. I still see some upside here

CT average Score doesn’t reflect this wine enough.
As usual with Magdelaine she’s quite beautiful. Elegance is key here, quite light on its feet.
Enjoyable old claret Happy to have 1 remaining bottle.
White
fresh and mineral but still a bit closed.
Needs a bit of time or air.

This domaine seems to have taken an nosedive under the new ownership. Way to big for a beaujolais cru. Not much left of the former grower style. I’m deleting this from my buy list that’s for sure.
White
This is all about elegance.
Light style, fresh acidity and minerality
Is not bad but lacks a bit of complexity for this level imo.

Fully agree with the previous tasting note. Wine of the night during our tasting. Still young. Good weight, peppery note, beautiful acidity which gives the wine great balance. No rush but highly enjoyable now. I’m gonna try and get some more bottles

First time trying this producer.
A lot of weight here but very well balanced.
No rush

Not too late but on a downwards slope still ok but drink up.

This stuff is amazing. Full vinous style. Very gentle bubble. Slightly oxidative. Will definitely get more.

Glue like chemical smell and finish. Not uncommon in 2007’s we tasted from several chateau’s not sure about the longevity of this vintage…

The first glass was very good. Very 2014. PYCM from 2014 is stellar. Sadly the restaurant f-ed up with the coravin so the remained of the bottle wasn’t even in the same ball park as the glass tasted at the restaurant…bummer.

Less oaky compared with last year. Very mineral at first. That settled down after the first glass. Really balanced on the second day. Nice orchardfruit. A little bitfuller than the 2017. But not to much. Very nice.

Tried 2 bottles the last couple of weeks but this is
Very much past prime. Loved the 2011. But this vintage is a hit and a miss. Can’t understand the positive feedback form 2 years ago. But this went downhill fast apparently. 2016 proves to be a difficult year…again. Ah well…better luck next time.

Firing from all cylinders yesterday’s tasting. Regardless of the stiff competition because all whites performed very well. Wine of the night. Beautiful lingering acidity, sappy, touch of oak. Long. Very 2014.

Showed very well. Kept growing on us over the course of 90 minutes. Elegant, citrus, paired orchard fruit, medium body. Balanced and quite long.

Disappointing. No real finish apart from a bitter grapefruit note. Drinkable but not really enjoyable. So not corked but’s let’s call it flawed.

Amazing. Slightly chilled. Perfect summerwine. Loads of layered red fruit. More complexity and weight in the finish. 2019 seems to fit Ramonet like a glove.
White
Really good for it’s level. Medium full bodied, golden delicious, really beautiful lemon acidity. Great balance.
Overachiever.

A monster especially after the red burgundy that proceeded this in the tasting line up. But boy wat a beautiful monster it is. Unctuous, soft tannins and mad amount of dark fruit. Of of course built to withstand time but in a very happy place right now

I have to agree with the last tasting note. This bottle has been opened for 24 hours and it just doesn’t want move anywhere. Horrible QPR. Simple, closed, uneventful even for bourgogne blanc level substandard. Quite disappointing.

Second try in a month from different owners. I have to say I don’t see the current ratings on CT let alone the 100 point rating. First bottle very raisiny. Maybe slightly off. But this is not much better. Heat is quite annoying and even slightly upsetting the stomach. Fruit Is a little better then the first bottle but Clos des Papes 2007 was way better in my opinion. I guess this proves the 2007 vintage is not build for the long haul. Hopefully some air will improve this impression but so far not impressed. Maybe it’s me but I have to say that the others were also not positive about this wine. And I do usually like chateauneuf so I dunno know. Last time buying Clos st. Jean for me I think. I prefer Beaucastel or Barroche Pure.
Hope I was just unlucky with 2 subpar bottles and you guys have all the good ones :-)

WOTN…elegant, feminine maybe not the best vintage for Gaja but the whole group liked it very much. Give it lots of air. Minimum 4 hours.

I agree with Thijs. Disappointing, way less than 2017 vintage. Waste of your money.

Stellar wine. 2014 saint Aubins from this producer rock. Dense, packing quite a bit of punch but so well balanced. Not heavy al al with nice acidity and a beautiful clementine finish.
