Very surprised, a pinot with quality as a good Burgundy! Intense on the nose, long finish with very balanced oak. Great wine, great producer Marcelo Miras. Everything I drink made by him is very well done.

Incredible Alsace wine. In the nose, red flowers (roses?), brown sugar, aromas of black fruits, especially dried black plum, typical of a sweet usually consumed in Brasil, the Manjar. Quite tannic in the mouth, almost frizzing attack. Intense acidity, complex, long finish. Excellent!

Very excited to taste this 100% Syrah Guaspari wine. The 2012 vintage was awarded with 95 points during 13rd Decanter World Wine. It is produced at Vista do Chá vineyard in Espírito Santo do Pinhal, State of São Paulo, a very unthinkable region to cultivate grapes and make wines. It is a wine that stayed for 18 months in French oak barrels. In the nose, aromas of cardamom, chocolate, cassis and black pepper. In the mouth, black fresh fruits, very complex with a long finish. Now, a little bit alcohol has left, so I think a few years could be helpful. I am very proud of this producer that is courageous, dedicated and technically very capable.

Very closed at first day, but much better at second day, with notes of mint, dark chocolate, smooth smoke and spice. A little bit alcoholic, with soft tannins and very good acidity. Good Brazilian Merlot!

Beautiful Brazilian Chardonnay! White chocolate, pineapple, honey on the nose. Medium finish with flavour of citrus fruit. I strongly recommend for whom wants to know how special could be a chardonnay very well done in south Brazil.

Tasting after an excellent German Riesling from Schloss Lieser. Open for an hour before being tasted, but without decanter. Intense aroma of burnt coconut, dulce de leche, black fruit. In the mouth, intense, long, tannic and slightly alcoholic. It should look better in the years to come.

Very well balanced, a lots of black fruits, a little bit truffle and brown sugar. Lot of soft and fine tannins very well integrated, with soft oak and a good finish. Very good wine!

After one year waiting to be opened, it was a good surprise. It is a very solid, consistent wine. Well balanced with delicious aromas of black fruits, especially dried black plum, typical of a sweet usually consumed in Brasil, the Manjar. With medium body and a pleasure finish, this was the best relation cost/benefit that I drank this year (if you think about the prices practiced in Brasil, of course ;)

First, I need to say that it is a very well made wine, very carefully and for a very respected winery in Brazil: the 2011 Merlot monovarietal. I was advised that I was opening too soon, but I wanted to see the good news of a new vintage of "Storia" from Casa Valduga and of course follow its evolution because I am lucky to have more other 4 bottles and can open for the next four years. Initially, the wine was very closed, alcoholic and with too much hard tannins. However, on the second day, with less tannins - or at least not to much hard - it presented cocoa flavors, sauna, cedar, eucalyptus, menthol, cut grass and a light aroma of leather. In the mouth, very present acidity, intense tannins, but soft, a little bit spicy and citrus. For me, if it were to use one word to describe it would be "sauna" with its eucalyptus and cedar aromas. Anyway, a great wine!

Brazilian Chardonnay. Awarded wine, shows aromas of citrus flowers, lightly salty and butter in the background. Delicate in flavor, with good acidity yet, despite three years of life, and medium volume, but a little bit alcoholic. Medium finish. Very cheap for brazilian patterns.

Chardonnay brasileiro. Vinho premiado, traz aromas de flor cítrica, levemente salino, manteiga ao fundo. Delicado no sabor, ainda com boa acidez, apesar dos três anos de vida, e ótimo volume, mas sobra um pouco de álcool. Final médio.

Great Brazilian wine! Italian grape Trebbiano Romagnolo. Very aromatic, flowers, roses! Lightweight, with good acidity. A good surprise Cattacini wine! For whom wants brazilian wine for summer with something special in the nose, I recommend! I'm very lucky to have a second bottle!

After a German Riesling 1992. Decanted for 2 hour. Wonderful wine! Deep and clear purple appearance. Primary aromas of green peppers, but flavours were developing during dinner. Full bodied, very good acidity and intense tannins, but less alcohol than I previously thought. After more two hours, black fruit appeared. Long and pleasure finish! Should get better and well balanced in 2-3 years at least.

Aberto ainda jovem, o vinho mostra claramente seu enorme potencial de guarda. Aberto duas horas antes e decantado. No nariz, traz ainda aromas imaturos, mas muito consistentes e de grande complexidade. Encorpado, na boca é intenso, suculento e muito longo. No dia seguinte estava mais aberto e com sabores mais integrados. Acredito que deva estar mais próximo do seu potencial a partir de 2019. Quisera ter outra garrafa para ter essa maravilhosa certeza!

Provavelmente aberto um pouco cedo demais, por isso, ainda mantinha muita fruta e estava bastante tânico. Acidez acentuada e bastante presente. Não sobrava nada de álcool. Aromas de frutas negras, tabaco e especiarias, com um pouco de ervas. Na boca, complexo e bastante persistente, com final longo. Um vinho realmente muito bem feito. Felizmente ainda restam 6 garrafas para acompanhar sua evolução pelos próximos 7 anos, tempo que acredito ser possível ainda manter suas qualidades.
