Nose is virtually absent....have to really work to get much of anything..
It’s a clean precise fruit balanced with very nice acidity but to me is lacking in complexity and any sense of terroir...

Deep straw gold....rich mouth texture...
Stone fruit nose , it’s there but not powerful..
Peach, flowers, apricot, with chalkiness, salinity, minerality....
Slight smokiness..
Such a complex delicious white....superb!

Nose some red fruit, some florals, but have to work for it...
Immediate burst of deep ripe raspberry, savory, umami, meaty with
Some acidic lift but not enough to alter a slightly syrupy finish...
Some fine tannins end it with the fruit still lingering for quite some time..
Serious wine..seriously delicious..
Maybe a year or two notches it up a tad... great effort!

Rather on the lighter elegant side of things...dry...somewhat simple..
Not completely sure I would have pegged it as a Syrah blinded...
Not a good QPR IMO.....
ONe more bottle to try and see if I feel the same...
( on more than one occasion I have had fairly different opinions on the same wine, ....the bottle?...the food?...me that night?...)

My first experience with this wine and my Greek wines have all been on the cheaper side...this wine is packed with flavors that lean to condrieu but certainly not Burgundian...rich high glycerin wine with an aged golden color that leads to complex beautiful flavors....worth trying out.
Papies reviews had good notes....

Interesting wine....
Nose and palate line up together...
It’s a fairly straightforward hit of lip smacking bright cherry with an undertone of earth...what it lacks in complexity it makes up for precision... the high acidity may not be everyone’s cup of tea...
Will be interested if a few years in cellar changes the experience..

Wine has mellowed a bit...nose is blue fruit pie..
Some cherry, just a hint of oak...
Blackberry cassis cherry finishes with well integrated tannins... tannins noticeable but nicely balanced with the fruit..
Overall a very nice package that is well balanced
And has ample fruit and tannins in nice harmony..
A deft touch of acidity keeps it all together
Well done !!

Nose is nicely fruited with a bit of mountain brush....
Sweet ripe bing cherry, with herbal notes, fine tannins and good acidity.
Would say it leans a bit sweetness on the experience....not in A bad way
But in a way that a French Pinot never does....

Elegant wine with soft plum, spice, med-firm tannins and nice acidity..
Think another couple years elevates it a point or two...

Decanted for 2 hours....could have used more as it revealed more in the glass throughout the drinking window(which at my house is usually a pretty short window!!)...great complex nose...just wanted to keep smelling...it was as enjoyable to smell as it was to drink which I can’t say of too many wines...the drinking experience was also great..
Cherry, spice notes, some earthiness with a wonderful balance and acidity ....I must admit I am not all that knowledgeable about burgundies and haven’t experienced any grand crus, but I found this premier cru to be absolutely wonderful...

Nice medium mouth weight body....
White peach, apricot, chalk with a very nice lip smacking acidity...
Really good complex Bourgogne..
Way better with air time....

Nose is ripe cherry, anise, spice and tarragon....
Flavor is cherry, raspberry, floral with nice grippy tannins and then an explosion of residual flavor on the swallow with perfectly integrated fruit and tannin...just outstanding and sure to be even better in 3-5 years...

Super dark purple...nose is a nice ripe plum and spice...
Lots going on in the mouth....plum first, grippy tannins next, some meat, some olive, finishes with deep raspberry tannic grip....
Think it could use a few years..delish..
Some nice acidity closes it out ...

Definite plum leaning prune on the palate....good spice and decent complexity....has a bit of a grape juice character on the PNP...
Has a sweet note to it which detracts for my palate...

Understated lemon curd , chalk.
Nicely acidic and nice minerality wrap it up...

Will reserve formal notes for next bottle...3 left...
I would say I am less impressed than originally but will augment that view with next bottle....

Very nice cab in a leaner style.....
Alcohol 13% ....cab fruit is very clean and precise with zero jamminess..
Understated style so may not fit a lot of cab lovers profile...
If you are looking for a heavily extracted style with a ton of jammy fruit this won’t be it...
If you want a very clean precise definition of cab with enough acidity and minerality to keep it buoyant this will work beautifully...

Walking back my previous note....
This was PNP..... and I found it to be thin and simplistic....
Acidic for sure...the fruit while nice wasn’t robust....
Would not reorder based on this review...
One bottle left to reconsider...will aerate before drinking...
It paled in comparison to recent Zins by Once and Future
and Limerick

Agree with the other reviewers... there is a bit of rusticity to this wine...think a couple more years will really brings it together...
Alas it was my only one.. had it next to a Limerick Lane Cellars Banfield 2018.,. The LL was cleaner
Prettier more precise flavor...more elegant for sure..the Once was bolder stronger rougher
Both great in their own way

Tar creosote smell dominates aroma..
Deep burnt cherry, Provençal herbs on the tongue..
Nice QPR but flavor profile may not be everyone’s cup of tea...
As the fruit plays second fiddle to the tar creosote profile...

Nose has a touch green pepper(don’t like)..
Drying tannins, leather, sharp strawberry spice, ....too lean and austere...
Not a fan....
This was a second night review......
Based on other tasters, it looks like I am the outlier on this wine....
Have another bottle to sample sometime to see if it’s different to me..

Again it’s approaching a stewed fruit profile...has to be nearing past prime...lot of bottle variability from my previous notes...
Nose is stewed..upfront taste is stewed but on the swallow the glorious fruit is able to rise above, revealing the former greatness...
Not sure if it was improper early years storage as the last 2 has been in proper cellar..

Very good amarone but I must say it wasn’t a step up from many
$40 ones I have had....checked the boxes but never elevated above an entry level amarone...that being said, I have never tried a $150-300 amarone so don’t know if those higher prices are worth it...

Nose is dark red blue fruit, meaty, slight alcohol whiff,
Dry fruit of deepest raspberry, blackberry, touch pie crust, tannins while firm are manageable, finishes with good length and well balanced with the fruit and tannin and touch acidity...well done Syrah...

Opulent on the nose and tongue...
Deep raspberry blackberry burst forth on palate, herbals and spice towards back half with a fair lift from the minerality and acidity...
It stays though in that just under syrupy area .....
All told there is A LOT going on and it’s quite scintillating....just great..

Nose is unmistakably Syrah with the herbal, meaty, dark fruit smell..
That taste is great... deep red/black fruit, garrigue, black pepper, terroir,
Nice grippy tannins, some mineral lift...just an excellent Syrah...
Definitely French.....I think a few more years will make it even better as the tannins lighten up...well balanced wine..

Want to give it a little bottle time before deciding on a rating...

Flavor explosion on the tongue, incredible bright red tartish raspberry,

Gosh at this price it blows away a lot of burgundies....in fact why not more gamay vs Pinot....I think we should !

Blackberry, vanilla, oak, nice expressive nose
First of all, when drinking...don’t swallow..keep it in front third of the mouth..WOW...blackberry graphite oak then swallow and get the blackberry boysenberry slightly not silken tannins minerality finish that lasts and lasts...

Layering on what Eric said....I find that indeed there is a very forward
bright acidic vibrancy that almost borders on a Sourhead in terms of lip smacking tartness (ok maybe not quit a Sourhead but you get the direction)...lots of complexity lots to consider....
I think a few years in bottle puts it in nice alignment...
Reduction in score from previous....
I am drinking a Syrah blend from southern France and maybe that is why I notice the acidic vibrancy so much....
