A text book Nebbiolo tasting note, fully developed. Certainly need to consume it if you still have one in the cellar. As the wine lacks tannin structure, intensity and length on the finish to consider for further cellaring.

2007 Château d'Armailhac Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
Drink now, surprisingly showing exceptionally well for 2007 given a subpar vintage. The great producer still manages to make a great wine even during an unfavourable vintage.

Wine at it's peak, acidity is well integrated with the wine given it's age. Fine tannin. Certainly drink up, prime time.

This is a full-bodied expression of a cool-climate Syrah from Elqui Valley. Dark chocolate, bramble, decadent. I found it to be slightly too punchy as it overshadows the savouriness that we love and often find in Syrah. To keep it short, it's more Shirza than Syrah.

Had this on a Friday night.. struggle to open. Worried it was still too young. But we deserve a decent bottle, even if for no reason.

2000 Château Monbousquet St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
Unlike what many said about the wine, it is not at its peak. There are still tannin structure with velvety acidity, as the wine is showing off its colour, if I have another bottle I surely will put it down for another five years my curiosity tells me this wine shall elevate further.

Multi-dimensional SB from Marlborough. Complex with just a hint of green notes. You have to look for it as it doesn't screen SB from NZ. This wine carried a long finish with a rounded mouthfeel. Outstanding and an example of the potential of an oaked Sauvignon Blanc. Well done.

No, this wine won't last till 2024. It's showing complex aroma and flavor complexity. A stellar wine caught me by surprise. Don't decant, don't leave it out for hours. The wine fell apart shortly after dinner. While it is "alive", it was sensational.

Delicious, complex toasty notes as a result of bottle aging. Those that said it needs to be consumed by 2015 certainly had no idea the potential of this bottle.

An enjoyable wine, but drink it shortly open as it fell apart rather quickly. Past prime, drink now.

Roero is a perhaps a stone throw away from Barolo (as long as the stone skips over the Tanaro River) but sure didn’t share the same fate. A wine drowned with minerality; literally, as Roero was underwater 70,000 years ago. If that doesn’t explain the saltiness and the ocean breeze, I don’t know what will.

Goodness gracious. Why aren’t more NZ Sauvignon Blanc made in this style? The subtle oak flavour are beautiful woven, lees stirring offering a generous textured palate. Fragrant bouquet of dill, stone fruits and a whiff of smoke.

Unlike what everyone said. This is still drinkable, in fact it showed exceptionally well within 30 minutes of decating. Just ensure you consume this within 2 hours, as this wine will fall apart very very quickly. No need to decant, just need few swirls of air in your glass.

I haven't had other vintages before, but if all other vintage are similar in style, then this is the result of Parkerization. Big, extracted, fat-fetish cab reminiscent of a Napa Cabernet Sauvignon.

Beautiful tawny orange color as the wine had aged gracefully. The wine is showing very well now, glad I got to enjoy it at it's peak.

Tremendous value for a taste of Piedmont. Won't walk away with trophies with this wine, but you will walk away without making your wallet that much lighter.

Meaty, gamey and plenty of earthy notes in this bottle. Drink now if you still have a bottle.

Savory mouth feel with generous acidity.

Beautiful granache from the McLaren Vale. Might long finish and velvety mouth feel

Ripe, residue sugar. Over priced

Have a number of 2006 BC wine in my cellar. Most of them are flat and pass it's prime, but this bottle still tasted delicious. But definitely drink now!

Very unfortunate, I had three bottles and they are all pass it's peak. For the flagship bottle that was so highly celebrated at the vineyard visit, i am quite disappointed.

Fantastic value if you are looking for a proper Chablis without breaking the bank. Delicious mouthwatering acidity with impeccable finish. Still got age left if you want to see what lies ahead. Absolutely lovely, regret didn't buy a full case.

Some say it had past it's prime, but not from my last bottle. It may not develop from further aging, but certainly it's a fantastic bottle of wine for $45 if my memory serves me right. Not going to get into tasting notes, but I am just going to mention that there were still acidity left from this 11 years old wine, nicely structured and finish. Quartrain now is being sold for $65, in which there are plenty of options for that price. But for $45, and I put it down for decade.. that's a good vino investment.

This wine won't get any better from further aging, so break it Open if you still have a bottle

Clean, dictate mousse. Toasty and biscuit notes on the nose. Dry, with fresh medium (+) acidity to balance the body . Nice round and savory mouth feel. Flavors of lemon, minerals and stone fruits. Medium (+) finish. Showing really nicely now, but definitely can lie down for a very long time for further aging.

Peppery, horsey, and sweet spice. Flavors of spice, and black fruits. Definitely you'll notice the heat from the 14% alcohol. Drink now with further aging potential.
