Side by side tasting with the 2010 vintage. 2009 was a bit more complex and more fruit

Was way too young to drink. This needed another 10 years in bottle. Sharp, tart fruit and none of the delightful aromas of nuances of typical Chambolle

Johna thought this bottle was cooked, but Roache and I thought it had great notes of chocolate, vanilla and baking spices

Tasted next to 2018 Pichon. This wasn’t quite as good, but still excellent.
Better than the 2014 Lynch Bages

Very young, but incredibly vibrant already. Huge cherry fruit up front, followed by muted earthy notes. Beautifully long finish

Despite being a terrible vintage overall in Napa, Randy Dunn managed to make a beautiful wine with those 2011 grapes. Floral notes on the nose and nutty, raspberry flavors. Short but delightful finish

Smooth and subtle with rich complexity. Superb wine for a Burgundy this young. Certainly will improve with time, but it is still showing quite nicely now.

Body and finish we top of the charts for this vintage. Nose and taste weren’t quite as good as the 04 or 01

Really nice body and finish. The nose was a little much when first poured, and taste was good but didn’t develop as much as some of the other vintages

Killer cab - this wine continued to open up well over the hour. Of the 10 years, this wine along with the 01 & 04 were the best
