Good start to an evening of wine drinking. Nothing incredible, but very drinkable.

Nose: Black cherries, vanilla, and a hint of citrus.
Taste: Start is citrusy, very light, finish with a hint of heat and a lingering acidity.
Overall: Enjoyable!

I do love Sangiovese, so my rating may be high. I've had better Sangioveses before, but this one was still quite good. Can't add much tasting note wise- I'm writing this well after the bottle is gone. Sorry!

Preface: I don't drink a lot of Merlot. There is nothing bad about this wine. The nose is nothing special, can't pick up much in it. The start is actually quite nice, hard to describe since it's so generic, but pleasant. The middle is more of the same, and the finish is entirely absent. Smooth the whole time, with no hint of heat. Overall, a very drinkable wine, probably would pair well with a really well done Italian meal, as the wine would not overpower anything.

The cork had failed on this wine and it had a pretty terrible taste. I'm sure it's a reasonable wine, but not this bottle.

Not overly impressed. I've had some fantastic Riojas, and this was not one of them. Nose was mostly alcohol, start and finish were relatively good, although not complex, and the finish is just chalky.

Very tasty. Nose was nothing memorable, start was very smooth, quickly coats your whole mouth with a wonderfully light taste. Middle wasn't anything to speak of, the finish was lingering with tastes of berries and ending with just the slightest bit of heat. Very well done.

One of the best wines of the year for me. Taste was wonderful and complex, and just great. Can't remember much about the nose though.

I don't normally drink/like zins but this was a stellar bottle of wine.

Fantastic. Nose did not portray the amazing taste of this wine. Very complex taste. Definitely going to buy this wine again if I ever see a bottle in the area.

A so-so wine that was very drinkable, but got worse as the bottle went by.

Quite the wine. Drank it mismatched with chocolate cake, and didn't really do it for me. Should have had it with stinky cheese and crackers as suggested.

Madison Cellars didn't impress me with this shipment from wine.woot.com, but this was still a good wine.

A beautiful wine. I can't remember much (drank it a while back) but I remember thinking i might join this vinyard's wine club.

I remember thinking this was a servicable, average wine. Drank it a while ago though, so I can't honestly remember what it tasted like.

This was a beautiful wine. We drank it at the end of a long evening of wine, and it stood out over all the others. My palate was well fried at that point though, so I can't offer a great tasting note.

Light on the color, but heavy on good taste. Sorry- I should really learn to write a decent tasting note.

I may just not be a fan of Zins, but I was underimpressed with this bottle.

A very drinkable wine. Mine was not cooked, and tasted wonderful. Very smooth, with a spicy finish.
