Still has some punch to it, fortunately.
Clear rim with amber colors but ruby gleaning thru the core in the glass.
On the nose, rosemary, cinnamon, blueberry bramble & English walnut.
On the pallet, baked plum, cranberry, Asian spice, slightly burnt toffee. Heat on the back of the throat. I’m pleasantly surprised this wine still shows ripe fruit - long finish. Drink now or soon to enjoy this balanced fruit/tertiary stage. I feel that it is at or just past it’s peak.

Classic Margaux.
Deep garnet color, opaque
Mixed berry bouquet, ripe plum, ripe black cherry makes your mouth water just by inhaling its aroma.
A voluptuous texture, already open & ready yet potential to age probably a 10-15 year more. Solid value in Margaux for GCC.

For my taste, perhaps I should have rescued this from the seller a couple years earlier as I love forward fruit. However it’s giving so much personality with flavors of black tea, rosemary, forest floor, thyme & black licorice. The tannins are quite velvety, the acidity is refreshing. Alcohol is evident however relatively well integrated. This has been open one hour and is continuing to develop.
Rosé
Delicious, crisp, mineral notes and strawberries

2017- this wine has beautiful aromas of cocoa, caramel, prune and baking spices.
On the palate, menthol, blackberry jam, cinnamon and a long brambly finish with still firm acidity and a bright juicy pop. I believe it will still age well a few more years however really enjoyed it at this stage while it is still showing nice dark fruits to balance the developed tertiary elements.

I was looking for an affordable wine with nice Rhone character. This wine fit the bill with a bit of wet barnyard soil, deep broody color, medium plus weight, bramble, raisins, black fruits and smoked bacon on the palate. Slightly hot yet overall pleasing. I would buy a few more and let them rest a 1-3 more years.
Cost was €6.80 at Carrefour Market and I felt like I choose a winner. Looking forward to tasting the left overs tomorrow.

At it's peak with a toasty Krug-like element. Aromas of strawberries and toffee. Slightly orange rim with a deep blush hue. Baked strawberry pie with caramel notes. Nice acidity keeping some freshness and bubbles galore.
