After reading some of the notes I used a cup of this Barbera in my signature pot roast recipe. Three hours later we returned from a wonderful wine tasting/cooking class and decided on one for the road at our home. Everyone wanted to try the open Barbera and what a shock....Outstanding!!! This 7 yr. BARBERA borders on a 90.

Enjoyed at a Christmas gathering. Especially memorable with smoked gouda and gorganzola cheeses.

Much improved over last four years. Finally showing some weight and body and maintaining good dark fruit. Drink soon.

Served with a chocolate port wine torte as last course at our Fall Wine Dinner. Twenty-five years and still going strong. Wonderful balance on the palate and ruby color maintained.
The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle.

Jammy blackberry and raspberry aromas. Nuances of spice and cocoa emerge as the wine opens up. Silky mouth-feel and well-balanced structure allow it to show wonderfully with a variety of well seasoned dishes.

Wine shows intense black cherry and raspberry fruit in the nose, while hints of black pepper and vanilla add complexity. A rich, full-bodied Zinfandel that will accompany a wide array of foods, but anything barbequed --smoky barbequed flavor is a great match for this Zin.

Wonderful deep cherry and blackberry flavor with hint of tobacco at the finish. Held up well with a herbed-peppered pork tenderloin. The 5 year wait has paid a gourmet dividend.

Wonderful. The Tasters With Attitude gathered to plan the next Sonoma trip and we treated them with Oregon Pinot Noir. Fruit front, earthy middle with a spice and soft pepper finish. Enjoyed with Joe's pork stew brandied prune and cream stroganoff over egg noodles with fresh baked sourdough bread. Enjoyed this wine behind 2002 Archery Summit Pinot Noir Arcus Estate. We saved the best for last.

Opened two hours before serving with roasted rosemary peppercorn french-cut lamb chops and smoked gouda au gratin potatoes. This cab held up well with the myriad of food flavors. Lots of jammy fruit with smoke undertones. Wonderful on the palate with a surprisingly long finish. This wine is ready!
