Decanted about 30 minutes. Dark purple with red undertones in the glass. Dark briary fruit, spice and black pepper in the nose. The wine has a very nice texture in the mouth and is nicely balanced. The fruit was the star here - full and lush - very indicative of the 09 vintage. No rush to drink but probably near or at its prime drinking window.

Decanted 30 minutes and it could have used more. Hold.
The wine looks ruby colored. It smells like forest floor, raspberry, cranberry and cranberry. It tastes like raspberry, cranberry, forest floor, forest floor and flint. The body is medium/full.

Straw color in the glass. Tropical notes (orange blossom and citrus) in the nose. Citrus, tropicals and mineralty in the mouth and the semillon (8%) adds a richness to the mid-palate. Nice touch of acidity keeps this all in balance.

Decanted 60 minutes. Very nicely made wine. Raspberry and cranberry notes over slight minerality. Medium weight that took on complexity in the glass. Much better than our last bottle 10 months ago.

Decanted 15 minutes. Dark black plums with some earthiness on the nose. Deep garnet color - not overly extracted and slightly transparent on the rim. Big entre and middle with a slight tail-off on the finish. Not sure this gets better. Drink.

Decanted 30 minutes. Dark purple in the glass. Somewhat muted fruit in the nose. Oak dominated the mouth - black berries followed by a healthy dose of acid. Not sure where this one is going with more age. For now its a hold.

Decanted 30 minutes. Deep saturated dark garnet in the glass. Muted nose with dark cherry and hints of coconut. Sadly this wine was about two years past its prime. A nicely made wine with a very nice mouthfeel, however the fruit has faded quite a bit which is reflected in the rating. Drink or gift.

Second bottle and consistent with last notes. The wine is very nicely made but a bit lighter style for our tastes.

P&P and served at cellar temperature. Very nice straw color in the glass. Pears and citrus in the nose. The wine has very good texture and weight in the mouth but there is a sharpness/acidity that is dominant and overpowers the green apple, pear and orange peel notes.

Decanted 60 minutes. Very pretty garnet in the glass. Nose of raspberry and briary berries, hints of smoked meats and soy. In the mouth the wine has very nice texture, balance and acidity - and nicely refined tannins. The wine was much better with food.

Decanted 30 minutes (needs a good 2 hours). As expected a dark, brooding color in the glass. Very grapey in the nose (almost Welches like). Dark fruit and very juicy wine - tannins that were not over the top for such a young petite sirah - will need to progress check this one for longevity. For now its a hold.

Very pretty straw color. A lighter style with medium acidity and slight hints of mnerality. This was better with food and drank light after dinner. Hoping this gains some weight with bottle time.

Popped and poured and consumed at a restaurnt. Medium garnet with a slight purple rim. Nose was a bit muted (red cherries and cedar). Dark cherry, hints of chocolate and spice in the mouth. Big entrance, flattens out a bit mid mouth but leaves with integrated tannins and a medium fnish. Drink.

Decanted 30 minutes. Dark inky color as you would expect. The wine was very closed on the palate and in dire need of additional airtime. Medium fruit and tons of tannin which hopefully integrate. Not the best of Quixote especially at the price. Hold.

Decanted 30 minutes. As others have stated the cork fell apart to the point you could not pull from the bottle and the bottle has been stored in pristine conditions. Loved the wine - a dense wine with beautiful color of deep purple with hues of dark garnet. Dark fruit with meat (bacon), smoke and dried herbs (bay?) in the nose. Palate of dark blue/black fruits with game notes. Drink or hold.

Decanted 45 minutes. Very dark garnet/purple in the glass. This wine is starting to really show its stuff - the tannins have softened and taken a step back to reveal a nicely balanced wine with dark red fruit, hints of mint and polish. In a great spot. Drink or hold.

Popped and poured. What a nice surprise. Just slight transparency on the rim and a bit of bricking near the edge but otherwise the color was a very pretty medium garnet. Fruit has faded a bit but a nice spice (clove) element was evident. A VERY nicely made wine. Drink.

Decanted 60 minutes. Dark purple in the glass and no signs of bricking. At first a very earthy/funky off nose that was hard to get past - thankfully this blew off with additional airtime. Dark petite fruit that was upfront in the mouth, thinner middle with a fade off and short finish. This wine was much better with food and rating is based on that. Drink now.

Decanted 60 minutes. Very rich garnet in the glass. An aromatic wine that filled the room with red fruits, meatiness and some mineral undertones. Cery full mouth - red fruits, dried herbs and minerals. Concentrated but not at all cloying or overpowering. Much improved over our last bottle.

Decanted 90 minutes plus. Beautiful purple in the glass. Nose of dark fruit, tobacco, mineral and flint that really opened up in the glass. One of the more polished wines we've had from this winery - dark petite fruit but nicely balanced with good acidity and medium tannins in the mouth. Really nice wine - well done!

Popped and poured. I really wanted to like this wine... Should have waited 3-4 years. The base is there for a well made wine but this wine is way too young and a bit disjointed. The fruit fades away and tannins dominate on the finish. Needs time to come together. Hold.

Nose is full with dark fruit and tons of tobacco and whiffs of vanilla. Mouth is very full with dark fruits, creamy vanilla and toasty oak. Acid has come around also. Drink with a decant or hold.
