Just a perfect nose, seemingly goes on forever. Great wine and competes with the $200 heavyweights

Very nice wine. We found it on the far light side for a Pinot but we are Big Cab drinkers so our view on lightness my be jaded.

The last review was overly harsh. DRdans review had valid points. It’s an upfront wine with a smaller backside. It’s a touch too smooth in the middle pallet for our liking. At $30 bucks lots of competition out there.

Strong Tannins which create a very dry front up taste. Have another bottle will let it rest for another 5 years and see what happens

I mean its definitely drinkable BUT, for an experienced wine taster it is easy to fine its faults. If you bought more than one save it for unknowing visitors

Far to many wines at this price point that are far superior

It wasn't bad but it wasn't good. Not many redeeming qualities

Just a great wine. Love it from start to finish. Tight spice immediately upon opening. After resting and decanting close to perfect.

Solid wine, but lacking a pizazz. Feels a bit thin. Tasted side by side with a 2013 Faust, Faust wins but at a higher price point.

Out of the bottle a taste of honey but not sweet. Nice middle and finish. Drinking side by side with a 2012 Stonestreet. Faust has a $10 price premium and it shows.

Great Wine! Comments started after the first taste, with no decanting or open time. Very even from start to finish. At the $40 price point well worth it.

Good wine, but at this price point there is better and lots of competition. MUST Decant, and even filter. Lots of sludge in our first bottle

Drink the Vintners Reserve before food, then switch to the Grand Reserve with food. Makes a great transition without a huge shock in taste.

Not a malbec drinker but surprised us in a good way, especially by the price. So much so, made a second purchase of a few more bottles. Now looking at bottle to bottle consistency.

It has been sometime since a French Cabernet has crossed my palate. They sure know how to scrimp on the fruit and berries. And the earthy nose says it all. Needs some cellar time, so will report back when the 2nd bottle is open. 2011 was a "challenging" year for France. I will wait for the 2015s and 2016s.

Just tasted at Venge this week. Liked it better than the other offerings that day. The others all had HUGE fruit and came off sweater than we like. (Scouts honor, Merlot). Bone ash was great also. Already have 2012 and 2013 Silencieux in the cellar to compare to.

Surprised me for a 15 year old wine. Very nice and continues to be drinkable. Tastes and smells like the ocean. I regret that I do not have another bottle in the cellar to try in 5 more years.

I have no clue when I purchased this wine but it's been many years. I am emptying all these old wines for my new and improved cellar. This is a good Cab! Silky smooth. Nice general fruit. Good nose after 15 years. Very delicate licorice.
