Barely drinkable as a table wine. Rough finish; tastes like a really bad house wine at Chili's.

3/7/17, 4:17 PM - Must have had a bad bottle. It is pretty good table wine.

California Cabernets (Vin Vino Wine, Palo Alto, CA): dark red with purple hues in the color. spicy, dark fruit, riverbed rocks, green bean, faint ginger cola, on the nose. blackberry, cherry, clove, bitter chocolate, on the palate. light mouth-feel, with low acid and tannins on the finish.

11/7/15, 3:32 PM - Was it corked? 85 points for a Forman on a good vintage seems like something might have been off?

Needs more time. Ripe cherry, blueberry, oak. A bit acidic and overly sweet on the finish. Not really coming together despite a long decant. Disappointing for $70, would try again in 5-10 years.

The Napa cab sounds more like $70.

8/4/15, 3:39 AM - In general the Napa cabernet is in that range. The Howell Mountain cab is 100 dollars. The easiest thing to remember is that the Napa cab from Dunn has a foil wrapper and the Howell Mtn. has a wax dip. If you cut the wax, then it was HM.

If you don't like it I understand why at this stage, lay it down for 10 years and they are much better.
