We bought this about 4 years ago while out on a pinot noir tasting trip (yes, I said pinot noir). It's been lying around in the cellar, and tonight we decided to crack it open with a couple of steaks for dinner. We were stunned! Absolutely delicious. Rich with big fruit on the nose and just the right amount of pepper to let you know that it is a Syrah. If you are holding this one, now is the time. Go for it!!

Absolutely everything you would expect from Chalk Hill. Rich and creamy with flavors of custard and citrus. Very sad to find out that they are not making this anymore. I am hoping their clone 4 will live to the same standards.

We were privileged to have dinner with the current wine maker at Alexana, and decided to share an older 2006 vintage. It was absolutely outstanding. The wine has matured and is drinking very nicely.

There were several reviews where people reported breaking the cork. You can add us to that list. Otherwise, this was a delicious cabernet. Opened up nicely after about an hour.

Absolutely delicious. A little heavier than your average pinot noir, but full of fruit, earth tones, and minerality. 2011 was a difficult growing year, but Rex Hill did it right with the Sims vineyard.

Absolutely delicious Malbec from Flying Trout. Got to meet the winemaker a few weeks ago in Walla Walla. Very smooth on the palate with a medium body.

The was a bit more bold than the typical Walla Walla blend. Had some hints of licorice. Should decant for at least an hour. Went well with a steak dinner.

Outstanding well aged cabernet from Lancaster. Decanted for a couple hours. Nose was both fruity and floral. Mellow tannins, with beautiful finish. Tasted like cherries and tobacco with a sweet after taste.
