Drinking great right now. Smoked meat, herbs, more red fruited than dark fruit and a little Levet funk which is right in my wheel house. Fine tannins with a great amount of acidity. Will hold for much longer but was worth checking in on

Second bottle consumed in the last month. Not really sure what’s going on with these bottles. Usually love Dauvissat, but both of these bottles were just weird. Not sure if it was poor provenance or premox. Not much on the nose and a strange bite and short finish on the back end. Both bottles consumed were similar, so I can’t really say if it was provenance or premox, because I don’t have anything from the vintage to compare to

Drinking great. Blackberry and blue fruited with savory herbs, violets and white pepper. Refined tannin with acidity to balance this fun wine. Will keep my other bottles for a few years.

Traditional styled Cornas that has it all. Pepper, meat, olive tapenade, florals and minerals. Well balanced with tannin, acid and fruit. Could use some more age but drinking well at the moment

Cathy makes excellent wine. This is a not slap you in the face fruity style wine. It has everything in great balance. Fruit, tannin and acid. Just a very elegant Cabernet in a style you don't find in Napa much.

Excellent wine in a good spot right now and will only get better. Wild berries, earth, white pepper, herbs and a great meaty character. The palate is well balanced with savory herbs, red/blue fruit, white pepper and earth. Everything you want in a Syrah. Need to buy some more

Very well made wine. Red fruits, earth, florals and spice. Great balance of fruit, tannins and acid. It'll be great to see how this wine evolves over the next 5-10 years.

This wine needs some more time for sure to integrate the alcohol possibly. In my opinion, it won't get drastically better. Alcohol dominates without any great complexity. Just not my type of wine.

Well made wine. Currants, leather, earth and hints of vanilla but not overwhelming. Integrated tannins with a big mouthful of fruit and a great earthy dusty quality with good acid to balance the finish. Really like this wine. In a good place right now. Will have my last bottle resting for another year

The slight brett on the nose is concerning, which I've encountered on every bottle of 2014 I've opened. Other than the brett on the nose, the palate is fantastic with fresh and crunchy red fruits, menthol, savory herbs and refreshing minerality. A well balanced wine that has it all

Popped a bottle after reading a review. The wine has the nose, flavor and finish, but is missing structure. I purchased my bottles from the tasting room in Paso, and don't remember that being an issue. Will revisit another bottle in a couple of weeks

A little too young to observe but fun anyway. Simple and missing complexity at this stage. Needs a few more years in bottle. Lemon, saline and minerals. Great acidity, but missing some mid palate flavor I was looking for

Great QPR. Could use a little more time, but drinking well. Crunchy red fruits, mineral, earthy and herbal tones. Fresh and fun. Could drink this everyday in the summer.

A well made wine for the style. A little overdone for my taste, but the wine is well made and balanced.

Not like the last bottle I had about 6 months ago. Had a great nose, but the mid palate just dropped off and gave a weird bitter taste. Tried again later in the evening with the same result. Just an off bottle

Love this wine!! A little ripe which is pretty much the way all 15's have tasted to me, but Foillard has everything in great balance.

Tasty with crunchy red fruits, herbs and florals. Great acid, tannin and balance. Would give a higher score if it didn't have some brett. Even with the slight brett, it's a great qpr

Wine was over the hill. Sweet and not much to give. Last bottle I had of this was corked, and reading people's notes, I thought this bottle would be in a good place. Purchased from winery, and kept in off site storage from beginning. Will drink other KBs in the short term.

Great potential. Bright red and blue fruit with earth and florals. Nice texture, acidity and tannins. Will be better with some age. Tight and not as expressive as will be.

Needs more time to integrate. Finish seems a bit short, and mid palate lacks depth, but the fruit and structure are there to help the wine improve for future enjoyment

Darker fruits, florals, and minerality. Intense fruit flavors, and balance of tannin and acid. Higher octane due to the riper vintage, but nothing out of balance. Still very young and will get better over time but fun to drink now. Cru Beaujolais continue to impress me every year given the qpr.

Wanted to try prior to release this week. Decanted 1 hour. White and yellow stone fruit, tart underripe pineapple, white flowers and minerals. Tart fruit, minerality and oyster shell. Cut and focused with refreshing acidity. Still very young

Another 2013 from Kutch that is drinking well right now. Crunchy red fruits, fresh herbs and mineral notes. Fun and refreshing wine that's a great value. I purchased these wines from Jamie 2 years ago, at his winery. Wish I had purchased more

I like Paso Robles wine, but in my opinion, this was a little too much. Over ripe black fruit, licorice and some earth. One of the riper wines I've had from Paso in quite a while. Wine had great flavor, tannin and acidity to last at least 5 more years, but I will be drinking my remaining bottle before then.

Dark and ripe black fruit on palate and nose. Not the mid palate and depth of other vintages. Will drink the 12's and hold the 13's.

My favorite Kutch bottling to date. Fresh, crunchy tart red fruits, menthol, and forest floor. Great flavor with more concentration on the mid palate than I've been used to lately with Kutch. Sometimes they are a little thin for my liking, but this bottle is in a good place, and will get better in future.

Drinking better than the last time I had it. Last bottle. In perfect drinking window. Dark ripe fruits with a earthy mineral quality on the nose. Ripe blackberry and plum with enough tannin and acid to hold it all together

One of the better KB's I've had in a long time. More red fruited with some earth and a bit of citrus zest. Not as over the top as some that I've had. In a good place with freshness and acidity.

Lemon, sea spray and wet stone on the nose. Palate was light and refreshing. Clean and crisp with a drop in flavor on the finish. Palate gained some weight and flavor on the mid palate after bottle had been opened for 2 hours. Should improve in another year or two and gain some depth.

PnP. Opened this one a little young for Kosta Browne SVD wine, but I have a couple more, so I thought I'd give it a try. Drank over 2 days. Nose of black cherries, dark chocolate, and damp forest floor with a hint of minerality. Big mouth feel. A little disjointed, with dark fruit, and quite a bit of heat on the finish. 2nd day the wine smelled more of red fruits, and it was more integrated. Not as much heat on the finish. Wine will be better in 2 years.

Had to try a bottle. Decanted for 2 hours. A little closed off on the nose, but evolved over some time. Dark plum, black currants, tobacco, graphite, and a hint of vanilla. What a taste! Fully integrated, with all the aspects you want in a California Cabernet. Dark fruit, tannin structure and a balance of acidity. Very well made wine. I will let my other bottles sit, but had to try. Will get better in the years to come.

PnP Dark Berries, leather, and wet stone. Taste was not as ripe as prior vintages, with dark fruits and smooth tannins. Not as bold a style that I'm used to with Booker. Great acidity and long finish. Ready to drink now. Prior vintages needed some time this one is ready

PnP. Initial notes of black currant, red fruits, forest floor, charcoal and tar with some wet stones as well. Great mouth feel with red fruits, charcoal and mineral. Long lasting finish. Decent amount of tannin, and high in acid. Great time to drink, with many more years ahead.
