Uninspiring. Very little on the nose and less on the palette.

On the tight side, opened up some within 2 hours, but still not as forthcoming with character or complexity as I'd hoped. Perhaps it needs more cellar time. Little in the way of tannins.

meh... perhaps this had closed up and needs more time in the cellar. or maybe it was never destined for greatness. the nose was nice if a bit cloying. but on the palette is lacked zing and the fruit was dull. quite monolithic, with almost no evolution in the mouth or in the bottle over the evening.

good enough for the price. nice balance, food friendly. but nothing special in terms of finesse or complexity.

yum. fuller bodied and richer than i expected, but nice acidity to balance it out. would've pegged this for a spatlese if hadn't seen the label first.

past its prime. not much of a nose, on the flat side, weak on the fruit, and just plain dull. a real disappointment compared to the same bottle a few years back.

nose on this was spectacular. but i had a tough time getting past the gum-searing tannins to enjoy the palette. this one obviously needs some time in the cellar to mellow out. and if you want an early taste of what later will be a spectacular vintage, decant for an extended period of time...

nice solid weeknight wine. nothing complex or nuanced, but has enough acidity to pair nicely with pasta/tomato/feta dishes.

this has definitely mellowed out in the time since the last posts. classic gsm aromas and flavors. very smooth, round fell in the mouth, enough tannin to give it structure but nothing gum-searing. it's not especially complex but a fantastic weeknight wine with lamb at a solid qpr.

this one has aged nicely. honey is quite prominent and in good balance with acidity.

night 1: drank at cellar temperature. not giving up much on the nose or the palette, needs some time to open up. tannins still pretty firm. will see what tomorrow night holds...

At $30 this is a steal for an Oregon Pinot Noir. Far better than some Pinots that cost twice that much from Oregon and California

This is very good Rhone wine for the money ($25 here in BC) Full bodied, smooth and velvety, nice berry flavors. Not a ton of complexity but a nice dinner wine with friends

Big floral and fruity nose, thick and delicious on the palate. Not as complex as I would've hoped. Maybe it needs some time.

Deep, dark, brooding wine. Tight for first couple hours then opened up. Not as much complexity as I would've hoped, but still a fine example of Syrah
