Certainly not over the top but a well rounded well balanced cab with smooth supple tannins. Cheers!

3/13/20, 8:13 PM - I did decant for two hours, seemed like it would have been ok as a pop and pour as it really didn't change much while enjoying with dinner over about an hours time.

Wow, paired with roasted lamb, the pairing was off the charts! Decanted for a little over three hours. Deep red and blue fruits, chocolate covered cherries, slight background mushroom/truffle/cigar box notes, paired with a juicy, silky smooth mouth feel and a long finish. This is a hedonistic Pomeroll that I would not hesitate to open and enjoy today or hold for a decade+ either way it willl be a treat, thats for sure! Cheers!
PS. As Im finishing this note I've bumped the score by a point and it may not be enough. it was that good.

I dont think this is getting the credit it deserves, I believe like most 2014 napa cabs it is in a nice drinking window and certainly above average. like many of Turnbulls offerings it really exudes some wondeful blue fruit notes, not exclusively but that is the marker I've always enjoyed most with many valley floor Turnbulls. I have used it as an opening bottle at dinner parties with a Carter, Morlet, or Realm following it and the only comment I have ever recieved is how well it held its own against them. It is a solid wine that I believe will be in a solid drinking window for a good 5 to 7 years or more. Cheers!
