Very hard to see past the ethelyl acetate. Very little Syrah character. It did have some ripe/dried fruit and some chocolaty oak aroma. Tasted again 24 hours later; still too much EA.

Very straight forward wine. A little bit of meatiness and pepper which made it easily identifiable at a blind tasting. Not much character besides that. The most interesting part was that it tasted much younger than 2008.

Pleasantly surprised by full carbonation. Nutty and earthy aromatics. Lots of lees and brioche. Pallet was fizzy but broad and slick textured. Lots of malic /green apple acidity. Tropical citrus flavors. creme fraiche. Tension. Still plenty of life left if bottle was stored properly.

Really looked forward to this wine. Tasted over the hill. I will blame it on poor storage for now. Purchased from WineBid.

Beautiful, bright, aromatic. Right off the bat lots of melon and white peach. Opened up into more honey and floral character. A very texturally driven wine.

This was was already showing its age. At first very little happening aromatically. Opened up into red apple skin, plum jam, dusty leather, and earthiness. Surprisingly low acidity and very little tannin.

At first, very heavy in mushroom and earthy aroma. Opened up into ripe fruit and more earthiness. Healthy amount of quality tannin. Lower in acidity than I prefer. Considering I payed $20, I count this as a win.

First smell was heavy on oak and lemon pith. Pallet similar. After being open for an hour or so, oak integrated very nicely. More of a toasted nut character. Fruit opened up into more citrus, and lychee. Kept getting more interesting the longer it was open but next think I knew the bottle was empty...

Brioche, spice, almond flour on the nose. Great acidity and texture. Bone dry.

Very fresh for its age. Pretty tight and inexpressive immediately after opening. After about an hour lots of fine gravely tannin. Red and black fruits and a nice chocolate creaminess. Payed $35 and would happily do it again.

Day one: Jammy and heavy on the nose, high tannin and acid. Not much distinguishable fruit character. Not super excited about it.

Day two: Black and blue fruit and still some jammy character on the nose. More earth and salinity. Still a lot of fine grain tannin and acid. Much more interesting second night. Perhaps could have benafitted for more cellar time.

Enjoyable but expensive. Not much concentration or complexity. Lots of tart red fruit/jolly rancher character. Hoped for more considering the price.

Good concentration and texture. Elevated VA.

Light and charming. Not overly complex. Perfect weeknight table wine.

Very little fruit left and even less structure. Should have consumed 10 years earlier.

Salted meat. Dried cherry. Toasted ok. Hotdog water. Funky but good.

Unexpressive. Some cherry cola. Very fine but not much tannin.
