Nice! Maybe veering towards excessive va. But stays on the right side of it.

Much better than anticipated. Not too much heat. Opened up and deepened with air.

Promising at first but 2 hrs in fruit felt flat. A little unbalanced and ash-y. Hopefully this is an awkvard phase as the initial charm has receeded. Probably a hold for this until the fruit comes out the other end. Judging by my, very limited, experience with aging Syrah i would guess drink 2026 - .

Sometimes you get really surprised... I hade the riserva perno 2013 and was utterly unexited. An overoaked, expensive mistake, was my feeling then. Tasted like stale fruit and wood.Time passes on and here i am popping the 2015 perno and... my impression is exactly the same with this wine. Note to self: stay away from Sandri in the future. 88 if i am being generous.

Great aromatic profile. That little leathery, strawberry, cherry thing that makes me rave about Syrah. Good plush mouthfeel. More articulated acid and tannin would push me into +90 territory. Sweetspot in terms of "weekday wine". Drink or hold.

Elegance and cherries, yes. More fruit-oriented than prior vintages? Still, knowing how great those got with age - dont see why this wouldnt also, just in another way. Im a buyer.

2nd night: better, even fresher fruit. Beauty in the making. Upping my score (89) to 90+.

Light in color and body. But very nice, and less extract than other us PN Ive had. I would have enjoyed a little more umpf, though. A little more of *something*.

Merely Ok, came across as somewhat generic liquorice juice. Dont think it was flawed. Ill try to hold it and see what happens.

Not really a fan. Typical Syrah-nose, which i dont mind in a Pinot. But the palate lacks some energy - acid, body and tannin. A lighter Syrah-dominated wine from S Rhone does the job better, in my book.

Second Jeremy. Very, very useful at a nice price. If this turns out to age well i might regret securing only 2 cases. Didnt feel the 15 abw.

No point drinking this if you're on the look out for Beaujolais Cru! Tasted more like Syrah. Tricky, maybe the pairing wasnt optimal.

First night the liqourice, asphalt and other non-fruit markers were dominating. A little unbalanced. 2nd night the wine relaxed a bit and the very pretty red fruit took over the show. Wonderful. Acid, fruit and tannin all working together. Cant remember, exactly, what i bought this for but feels like a steal when i think of my case. 91 for day 2. Probably a hold.

Full on, rather chewy tannin still. Notes of autumn leaves, fungi, mixed with cherries, cola and tiramisu. I thought this would be oth, but no. Lively over 3 nights. From magnum.

Very good and clearly rather concentrated, but other than that nothing special to me. Balance wasnt great, almost getting some bitterness. All in all, a really nice wine.

Not convinced atm. NR Syrah profile yes, but i am missing some texture. And a bit incoherent. Also too much liquorice at the end to my palate. Hopefully an inferior phase. 4 left, hold till 2027.

Really good wine. Nose is like a blend of PN and N Rhone Syrah. Palate a bit more varietal. Some VERY finegrained tannin wrap this up as a screamer for me. My sweetspot in terms of usability. No need to cellar either.

This has come together much more now. Really nice nebb from barolo, quite some mint. I think the vintage shines through. Cant remember having a poor btl of 2016. Got one left, hold that one, i can see positive evolution from here on...

First night: nah, i want more fruit acid in my PN. Feels a little flat. Flavour-wise i put this right in between burgundy and german spätburgunder, but i prefer other options (for both).

Second night : much better. The flatness was less pronounced. Good weekday wine.

Nose: stinky on opening. Shy after that. My association is tiramisu and Coca-Cola mixed with mountain spring water.
Palate: much more full on, but follows nose rather well. Nice tannic tug and acid hang. If there was some red fruit peaking out amidst the more blurry sensations i would be raving. Still, feels like an authentic Barolo tap. 91/92.

A little muddled, but not bad. Very pronounced veal note (butcher shop) on the nose, wow. A little demanding in a way, not really sure of what i think... was maybe hoping for more in the way of red fruit. Drink or hold, for my last bottle a hold >2026.

All I could ever ask for in a wine that is not top shelf. Very, very much in window. First wiff was akin to bdx, but 2hrs decant helped the fruit emerge. Singing and intoxicating with its nutty addition to the fresh fruit basket. Drink or hold, but likely at apex.

As if they extracted only the dirty, soiled, alcoholic side of Nebbiolo. Not too heavy, or oaked though, so thats a plus. But dont come here looking for aromatics, doubt it will change with time either
