Disappointingly mute nose. Just nothing there, even with a good decant. Better on the palate, giving me just what I would expect from a 10 year old Bordeaux. The tannins are still prominent, but starting to smooth out. Plenty of acidity and alcohol to keep it all in balance. I'm going to let the next bottle sit for another 3-5 years. Drinking at 88 today, but with plenty of potential to improve over the next ten years. www.vincrush.com

unbalanced, way downhill, didn't perform even close to the level it showed a couple of years ago, very poor PQR

Really enjoyed PETERNELSON's review below. Descriptors were spot on. Delicious bottle, excellent acidity, fresh vibrant flavors with plenty of life. Saltwater taffy, oysters, flavors of the sea, freshly cracked minerals and chalk, melon rind, a touch of game and cheese, light and clean on the palate. What a value @ $75, I'll be looking for more bottles.

3/15/16, 2:52 PM - I have not had any premox issues personally, but I have only consumed roughly 4 or 5 bottles of Dujac's whites in my time. At these prices however, I'm perfectly fine assuming any risks therein.

3/16/16, 11:59 AM - For what it's worth, I've consumed 2 bottles of the 2005 recently and they were as bright as day. No signs of oxidation with plenty of life.

I waited all these years to drink this? For what. The wine has survived for 19 years OK but it is not drinking well that's for sure. Hope the next bottle is better.

2/23/16, 3:14 PM - His 1994's should be just as susceptible to cork taint as any vintage of nearly any wine that uses natural cork. Sometimes bottles can be "off" for other reasons too. If you have a few more in your cellar, give it another go...You may have had a dud!

This was pure liquid limestone and rock, mountain river water, chiseled and focused minerality with a touch of lemon and melon rind; not a big wine, but full of energy, vibrant, and excellent balance and a light creamy mouthfeel--a subtle power to it. Reminded me of a lighter, less forward leaner Corton Charlemagne. Thoroughly enjoyed this when I did not expect much. With grilled fresh wild Halibut, and corn on the cob (on the grill too!). Barely felt this had aged a day, but so beautifully integrated, seamless a this stage.

Nice bouquet of light cherries, sweet wood, earth, orange zest. Smells like a traditional Rioja. Smooth mouthfeel, some nice roundness in the midpalate with morello cherries in the lead, but the finish seems thin, dry and a little bitter. This has seen better days, and I think these wines are better enjoyed in the first 10 to 15 years. 87 or 88 pts.

Day 1...Slight pungency, prominent and powdery tannin, stewed red fruits, plum, black cherry and spice. Usually a decent pinot for the price but I'm not a buyer of this vintage again.

Day 2...Most of the fruit is gone, tannic, cardboard, chalky mouth feel an old dead plum is all that is left. Lowered the score from the 88 I had awarded if yesterday to 87 because I'm inclined to score this an 86- today.
