2/21/18, 3:35 PM - Agree on the muted nose, but this wine is gorgeous on palate. Worthy of a higher score IMO. Try another bottle!
2/22/18, 2:54 PM - Just had my last bottle on Tuesday. I had to buy more :)
4/7/16, 11:57 AM - I drank a 2003 Montrose last night with a party of 3. We did not take notes but we all thought the wine was excellent. Maybe give it another shot from a different parcel?
3/15/16, 2:52 PM - I have not had any premox issues personally, but I have only consumed roughly 4 or 5 bottles of Dujac's whites in my time. At these prices however, I'm perfectly fine assuming any risks therein.
3/16/16, 11:59 AM - For what it's worth, I've consumed 2 bottles of the 2005 recently and they were as bright as day. No signs of oxidation with plenty of life.
3/16/16, 3:17 PM - I've only have the 1er Monts-Luisants, but hope to acquire (and consume) some of the regular MSDs at some point!
2/19/16, 4:07 PM - Possible your bottle was flawed?
2/23/16, 3:14 PM - His 1994's should be just as susceptible to cork taint as any vintage of nearly any wine that uses natural cork. Sometimes bottles can be "off" for other reasons too. If you have a few more in your cellar, give it another go...You may have had a dud!Cheers-
2/18/16, 9:41 PM - Excellent review!
10/10/14, 9:11 PM - Loved you descriptors. Well written but felt the wine deserved a higher score!
5/26/14, 10:47 PM - Powdery tannins. Slight pungency, rustic, stewed red fruits, plum and spice. Pleasant pinot for the price.
