This opened up after a couple of hours. Had it with a homemade tomato sauce and it paired beautifully. I was concerned I opened it too early, but no. Hints of chocolate and leather with a small bit of eucalyptus on the palate.

Brilliant for the price point. Brown-red brick in colour. Cherry and some orchard fruit, maybe nectarine, on the nose? In the 30 minutes breathing so far it has improved a lot.

Seriously young. After three hours of decanting it started to show its potential. Vanilla and tobacco hints are present and some berry.

Tasted a bit young when opened, but 1.5 hours in a decanter mellowed it. Dark red, hints of blackberry on the nose, Anise, cherry, strawberry, vanilla? on the palette with a "sunkist" raisin finish. I last had this in 2017 and was worried it went off, but no - delicious. Some tannins to cut through tomato sauce but overall soft.

Dark, Inky garnet with hints of prune and bubblegum on the nose. Surprisingly tannic - lots of tannins - with more prune, raisin, green pepper, and earthy notes on the palette. Some leather and smoke, perhaps, and red berries. This is a steal.

Young and tannic. Definitely taste mocha and berry. It needs to breathe for sure - after a few hours there was berry, chocolate, and currants. This will be ready in a few years and it will be a treat, given this is the last Oroppas!

This time the wine was a little flabby. It certainly opened up after about an hour or so, and there were hints of black pepper. It did finish smooth. Certainly tasted medium bodied.
