Tasting menu at Langdon Hall. Opened a couple hours while we had champagne with beginning courses. A fresh, intoxicating, and complex nose of red (plum, raspberry) fruits, fresh earth, tobacco, flowers. The palate is bright, with sweet red fruits, integrated tannins and a high toned, long finish.
It stayed consistent, seeming to show the bright fruit/acidity of 2008, with great underlying sweet red fruits. Stunner.

Dinner at Alo. From memory. Complex and mature, with gorgeous aromas of cigar, earth, red fruits, licorice. Palate was balanced, fresh, with red and black fruits predominating, to a long, rounded finish. Fantastic bottle.

Youthful and classic nose of green apple, hay, slate. Palate is full, rich, warm, laced with minerals, with a long, biting finish. Still too young!
