Pop and poured
For the first hour a lot of bilberry with a hint of blackberry on the nose. A brighter acidity than I expected and barely noticable tannins with a simple tea like finish. As it opened up blackberry was replaced with coffee... And then even the bilberry fell to the dominant coffee. Tannins came on after the first hour as well, so fine.

Definitely does well with a slight chill

Initially very sour on the nose was it Brett?
After about two hours in the bottle that mostly blew off
But there wasn't much in its stead
Palette felt imbalanced, a jumble of tannins and slightly off acidity
Day two Brett fully receded
Cherry, tar, maybe smoke on the nose, but palette still felt disjointed

Another half decanted and half in open bottle
Both sat for about an hour
Initially, the decanted half was musky and full of graphite
Eventually black berry/cassis
A hint of green pepper on the finish
Only the decanted carafe offered much in the way of tannins

Fairly simple nose of blackberries and some black currant and hints of tobacco.
Fell apart within two hours. Nothing much but alcohol on the nose and over powering acidity.

Beautiful brick color

Initially the nose was cherry and a bit of dirt. Over time, we could smell mint (maybe 14% abv), liquorice, and maybe black currant.

The palate shifted a bit over time. At first a medium bodied balance of acidity. It slipped into a syrupy melange for a bit. Perhaps that was the steak's doing? Very stewed prune flavor.

Took the tannins about an hour to show. Over four hours they intensified.

Short lived bottle, started to turn vinegary by about hour 3

Initially, strong notes of mushroom and forest floor. Hints of raspberry.

After about an hour, tannins, soft and round, showed up.

Powerful acidity overtook the tannins

Seems that often alabarino's are none too complex. But they're satisfying. This one's different.

Grown in granite and sand soil. They block malolactic fermentation and age 80% in stainless and 20% in foudre.

Nose had strong green apple and lemon peel with hints of acacia. Bright acidity and a mouth watering finish.

It's not always easy, finding an interesting rose. I think this fits the bill.

This comes from alluvial and loess soils. It's a blend of zweigelt, st caurant, and pinot noir.

Nose of flowers and melon. Somewhat chalky on the palette and good acidity.

Shockingly, it even held up the next day, after pumping it.

Decanted half for two hours, drank the other half as it opened in the bottle

The bottle aired wine was fruity, like gooseberries and a hint of black currant bud. The acidity war bracing, not too much of a finish. Overall it felt a little simple.

The decanted wine had similar notes. But the fruit war stronger and there was a chalky finish.

I preferred the decanted wine

A little raspberry on the nose and a hint of meat or smoke. Blackberry, black currant, same liquorice on the nose and palette. Finest tannins and mouth watering acidity.

Initially an acidic bomb with little on the nose and no tannins.

After letting it sit open, in the bottle for two hours, finally showed some life.

Blackberry, earth, and spice
Fine tannins mesh nicely with strong acidity
A brief and slightly sweet finish
Even after all of this time, not that much bricking
