I daresay I have had better vintages of this wine. Medium-dark crimson. Nose a bit lackluster. Dust, tree bark, tar, pomegranate. Touch of iodine, medicinal. Not very forthcoming. Palate is all about black fruit and comes across as somewhat hard and even a bit raw and austere. Maybe I am being too harsh, but this seems charmless and boring. A tad bitter on the finish. This has been better in tougher vintages. 4-9-13-6: 82/100.
