Vibrant, beautiful nose of red fruits- raspberry and strawberry, pine or camphor, and some warm spice, good acidic cut, silky in the mouth, so Burgundian. This is terrific now and I can imagine a beautiful evolution trading some freshness for more prominent secondary notes. Might be too hard for me to resist though as I love young Pinot noir

Kérosène, bruised pear, beeswax candle, lemon blossom in a subtle and alluring nose- kind of Riesling like- surprise tastes way more broad and mellow like those flor influenced wines of the Jura mixed with apple juice- there is some residual sugar here. Second time with this wine and so good with the Vietnamese salad tonight- wonderful foil for fish sauce and lime juice. Not cheap but worth the money

Nothing wrong with this wine but nothing memorable either. Red fruits dominate in the nose, fan out in the mouth, kind of one note but the silky mouthfeel and elegance finish is lovely. In the end, it comes down to QPR- I like the wine but wish it was half the price.u

Complex nose of strawberry jam, Worcestershire sauce, smoke, and eucalyptus forest-tart and fresh with earthy notes, real tannic grip like Nebbiolo, finish with pine/eucalyptus notes. This wine is an olfactory pleasure and has a unique personality. I love it but can also understand it not being for everybody. I think some would find it thin and tart but this is a winner for me.

What a treat! Wasn't sure how this would be, but like the last review said this is drinking beautifully at full maturity right now.

Cranberry, pomegranate, earthy rubbery note, tart and savory with some blood orange notes and more cranberry. It has good cut and grip but while I find the flavor profile Burgundian, the texture is course not silky.

Wow this is really good. I love the way the flavors fan out- floral, orange peel, almond.

I love the fresh vibrant bouquet of raspberries, cherries, and strawberries in the nose, delicate and ripe in the mouth-if this is a preview of the 2019 vintage I say “yes please.”

Pretty restrained aromatics, light and lean on the palate, this wine has some lovely flavors, red fruit, fresh herbs, touch of spice and vanilla- still this wine is subtle. Feeling a bit mixed about this one, there is something delicate and lovely about this wine but it also has a very narrow flavor profile.

The aromatics of this wine are more alluring than the palate- anise, pepper, something floral- light bodied with pomegranite fruits- fresh acidity but also some grippy tannins not unlike nebbiolo. The finish is fairly short and the wine is better with some food. I love this style of wine-refreshing and juicy

I totally agree with winecenturyaz review. I would say more but he has already said better than I can!

This exceeded my expectations. Rich and dark, some earthiness in my the mid palate, balanced and evolving in the glass. Very happy with this one.

I found this wine kind of monolithic- the black fruit flavors are not quite up to the structure and tannin of this wine. The tannins are still rough and quite drying. Worse still, I am not sure more time in the cellar is going to smooth this one out

Strawberry, watermelon, and orange notes- delicious round and ripe

Strawberries, wet grass, and dinner rolls in a fairly restrained nose-quite dry and bright, refreshing. This is a terrific wine for the table.

Passion fruit, kiwi, and just a bit of that grassy cat pee thing, refreshing and crisp but fairly thin across the palate, falling off on the finish. Seems correct for the price

Pear, chamomile, hay, and clover in the nose, richer than you would expect with beeswax/ honey flavors and creme brûlée spreading across the palate- a llong lingering finish. The acidity keeps it all on point. This is a lovely expression of California Chardonnay.

Expressive nose- black fruit, warm spice, fried hamburger, chocolate, and balsam branches- so lots going on. Sweet ripe fruit in the front of the mouth- the wine fans out across the palate- medium bodied and so elegant- resolves with lavender and chocolate. This is such a beautiful wine.

The fresh fruit notes have started to fade and some secondary flavors and aromas are starting to emerge. I think this could get even more interesting with a bit more time.

Such a lovely wine- seems like it has one foot in the new world with a lot of exotic citrus zest and orange marmalade notes with flavors that carry over into a more old world precise and focused mouthfeel that resolves with a satisfying long finish.

Restrained savory nose- green pepper, orange zest, black pepper, pomegranate- light to medium bodied, a little riper than expected in the mouth with bell pepper and some sour black raspberry notes appearing in the finish.

Restrained nose and silky mouthfeel, I would mistake this wine as burgundy tasted blind. Seems like a good value at 25 since Bourgogne increasingly is floating into the mid thirties and this wine has everything I want when I reach for one of those bottles.

Light translucent garnet color, dried floral notes, nutmeg, white pepper, pomegranate fruit, light and elegant in the mouth, kind of drops off in the finish. No reason to wait on this wine, drink up.

Forest aromatics-pine needles, earth, fern and subtle red fruits-light bodied and beautifully balanced. I enjoyed it a lot but I am more sanguine about the value equation of this wine.

This is my last bottle of this wine and age has done it some favors. It has always had a strangely confectionary red fruit quality that I found unpleasant when the wine was young and primary. Time has added some earthy elements and the fruit is more muted and set against the savory elements in a more pleasing way. This wine is light in color and stylistically almost Burgundian which is strange to say of a wine that is 15%

This was a lovely surprise. This is the first time I have had a wine from this producer. I knew this was from a poor year 2014 and understood this wine to be declassified Brunello. Perfumed with red fruits, mint, pine, and earth- I found the nose alluring. Medium weight with a polished balance I did not expect. I found this wine to open fairly quickly and seemed in a lovely place for drinking. I wish I could get some more.

Quite a bit of wood and acid as one might expect made this wine harsh and charmless its own. However, with food ( lamb shanks) this wine snapped into balance providing cut to the richness of the meat. Fruit and secondary nuances sang and I was unhappy to see how quickly this bottle got finished. I would happily drink another bottle with a similarly rich meat dish. Not really sure how to offer a rating of overall quality

Wow what a bargain this wine is! The ripe fruit remains while the 10 years of bottle age adds its complex magic. I don't have much experience with aged wine, but I love this

This wine is so rich and delicious yet balanced and poised. A wine like this expands my idea of what Sangiovese can be. I have had this wine three times .

Pine forest, resin, dark cherry in the nose-good depth and intensity-acidity rises in the finish. I like the savory quality- the wine has depth and power without tasting sweet or too ripe. It is a unique expression of Russian River Pinot.

Tropical flowers, pear, ginger, caramel-lemon meringue pie in the mouth- complex, integrated, really wonderful, but I would drink it now. It seemed more evolved than I would have thought.

This was elegant and balanced, but not much complexity. Not fruit driven, earthy without funk. Perhaps more time would help.
