Pop and poured. Fresh blackberry, plum, hint of strawberry and vanilla on the nose. Black fruits and spice on the palette. Tannin and acid are solid, but a little lacking in overall body. Definitely need to let the next bottle breath.

As time went on the wine opened up and put forward a lot more fruit.

Nice wine.

Notes of lush blackberry with hints of strawberry. Wood, incense and vanilla. Very nice aroma in the glass.

Tastes of blackberry and black cherry. A little lighter than the nose indicated. A very fine peppery finish. Tight acid holds it all together.

Nice.

Really disappointed. Four wines - this was the only one people left behind. Frankly, its hard to find much good about this wine.

People complained about this being a fruit bomb - but I didn't find that. I found a wine that was a bit of a mess - too hot, to tight, too tannic. I can't say anything was well done with this wine.

Bottom line - not delicious.

I have three more bottles. Perhaps this one was an aberration.

Perhaps a little later in the drinking window. I found cherry, cola and a very pronounced barnyard on the nose. Cherry and hint of oak in the mouth where it was soft and a little hot.

An unconventional pinot at a good price.

Raspberry, a hint of licorice, chocolate, and then an herbaceousness as it opens up - on the nose. Its reserved in taste - more cherry than raspberry with a definite spice component at the finish.

It rests high in the mouth and feels a little too thin, too tannic and hot to my liking. The structure is not quite right for me. But but but... good QPR and a fine wine to offer guests who aren't too particular.

This wine benefitted from a couple of hours of breathing. Strawberry, cranberry and earthy on the nose. Smooth and front-loaded with more cranberry and raspberry notes. Medium to high acidity - nice finish.

I don't find this to be a "pretty wine". I find it to be a very genuine wine - the sort of wine to enjoy with your friends any day of the week with flavorful roasts, lamb or chicken.

QPR is very good.

Lush, dark red fruit with just a hint of oak and mineral. Flavor profile is much the same with a very light, but notable herbal element - wonderful lively acidity and bold pepper give this a long finish. High alcohol is completely subdued. Rich mid palette. Nicely done.

Can be easily paired with grilled or bbq meats.

Interesting. On the nose - immediately dark red fruits, notably strawberry and cranberry. But, after letting it open up for 30 minutes it changed dramatically - smoke and meat rose to the top and it became very earthy. Faintly burnt rubber.

On the palate, it has nice structure, good acidity - soft, round and nearly silky. Mainly cranberry and cherry notes.

It's a nice wine, holds together very well but I'm not crazy about the backend of it. It's missing a little something.

Red cherry and berries, with a bit of oak and trace of rubber on the nose. Smooth, round and light with immediately juicy fruit. Very nice acidity holds it all together. Red cherry all the way through with oak and mushroom notes on the palette.

Very nice.

Cranberry, petrol and raspberry with a hint of cloves and wood note. The taste profile is cranberry and wood notes. Quite acidic, but pleasant - probably enjoyed better in summer. Overall, its a little thinner at the front and weaker at the back than I would like. But, its good and ready to drink now or this summer.

Lush blackberry and incense on the nose with hints of blueberry and licorice beneath. Black fruits and a bit of smoky finish on the palette.

I grabbed this bottle without much thought, but wish I had waited a couple more years. This has notably changed and is becoming better.

Very well put together. Nice acidity and finish. Hold other bottles for a couple of years.

Still a lot of ripe fruit on the nose - its progressed more toward cherry over the years. Still strong strawberry, but now licorice has made a notable appearance. Wood notes. What was once tobacco seems to have moved toward a more muted spice.

It certainly has gone a bit more acidic than it once was, but its still quite good.

Disappointing. At the pop there were notes of delicious fresh fruit. But it quickly turned to smoked oak with a hint of incense and blueberry. Flat in the mouth, not round at all. One dimensional. Just not very appealing.

Not terrible, but not very good.

Still loads of lush strawberry and cherry notes. Tobacco and cedar. Vanilla peeks through it all.

Tobacco leaves a little more prominent on the palette, but overall pretty consistent with the nose.

Decent complexity. Still drinking very well.

Fresh strawberry and hints of cranberry on the nose. Consistent on the palette, strawberry with notes of cranberry. Not particularly tannic or acidic, but quite pleasant. Straightforward. Lacks the subtlety of some other pinots, but this is a very enjoyable wine.

I wasn't expecting much, but was very surprised. Bursting with citrus and guava, with some hay underneath on the nose. It all holds true and together with a nice structure.

This is a very nice Sav. Blanc. Recommended.

Blackberry and plum with hints of strawberry; wonderful layers of vanilla, cigar box and mocha on the nose. Tastes more of black cherry than blackberry, well structured, light on tannins, burst of fine pepper on the finish. Nice acidity. Wish it was a longer finish. Very nice.

Intensely aromatic. Blueberry cake and forest flowers with hints of rose. Slight oak notes.

Light drinking, fine tannins. Medium finish. Enough acidity to accommodate food.

Drinking astonishingly well right now. I wish I had more.

Lost in the cellar. Its way past its prime, but worth nothing what I discovered.

A little funky on the nose at first, but after that blew off I found smoke, wet gravel, vegetal and wood notes. An indistinct black fruit.

Strong fine tannins, heft vegetal notes, wood and a little tobacco leaf.

On the nose - overwhelming horse manure and burnt rubber, but under all that is an indistinct red fruit. It tastes better than it smells - mainly cranberry and a lesser amount of manure.

Its not very well structured, light and low complexity.

Tastes of red fruits, cherry, stewed cranberries and has a very fine peppered finish.

Light bodied, dry, more heat than expected. Refreshing.

Holding for a long time. Too long. But, surprisingly pleased with it.

On the nose - clean, moderate intensity, dark dried fruits, coco, a tiny floral element, milk chocolate, wood notes.

Bone dry with gritty tannins, medium bodied.

Found black/blue fruits. Surprised to find blueberry. A slight herbacious quality. Medium complexity.

Highly tanic, but fresh and light. A ghostly finish.

Medium intensity on the nose. Crisp sweet apple, grapefruit and honey dew melon. The apple has a touch of a jolly rancher quality to it.

Its full bodied for sure, zesty lime, salt, canteloupe, grapefruit pith. Decent balance. Med+ finish.

I'm not going to rate it because it was well past its prime. The interesting thing about this wine was that upon opening it some juicy black fruit sprang out and then herbal notes kicked in and over an hour the herbal killed everything else.

Not much to record here except that it should have been drank years ago.

Very nice on the nose. Strawberry, a bit of dried leaves gave way to tobacco and vanilla. As it aired out, it took on heavy cherry notes. Over an hour a distinct dark red fruit compote quality came out.

Taste consistent with the nose - cherry, tobacco and vanilla. A very substantial wine, quite smooth. Its reminiscent of cough syrup, but not in a bad way - just the overall feel of this wine is ponderous.

Its good.

Aromas of plump blackberry, smoke and wood notes . Inky black with a violet rim. Very nice on the nose.

Dry with a tiny drop of sugar, but not sweet. Soft mouth drying tannins. Fresh black fruit and a cooking spice note.

Finishes a little faster and more quietly than I hoped. Could use a little more acid to bring it all together. But, very nicely done - refined.

I found red fruits, tart cranberry, meat, hay and a touch of rubber on the nose.

Very easy drinking, smooth with well integrated tannins. Lighter than expected, not sophisticated but feminine. Very approachable. It could use just a bit more acid to bring it all together.

Cherry and cranberry on the palette, with spice and an unexpected burst of pepper on the finish.

Tasting again after about 6 months.

Nose of dark red cherries, gravel, earth, savory component. Truffle.

Tastes of bright cherry, cedar, truffle and a bit of spice, not quite pepper at the end.

A nice line of acid holds everything together from start to finish.

If you were going strictly by the nose - you would think its a Syrah. But it's very different on the palette in a pleasant way.

The nose is intense and loaded with jammy black cherry and tart red cherry. An odd combination, but it's what I found. Hint of mushroom.

Structurally its loaded with acid and medium plus tannins - which holds it all together start to finish. It's low alcohol, but a nice a medium plus finish. Overall a much lighter red than the nose indicates.

On the palate it's all red cherry and spice to me. It's not complex, but you could drink this all day. Good qpr.

A good full bodied white with a medium plus finish.

I get sweet fruits of apple and cantaloupe with a distinct dry bread note on the nose. A hint of honey.

It has a zesty acidity that hits you right away. It brings lime, cantaloupe and a salty mineralogy. On the back of the palette it delivers a hint of bitter grapefruit pith.

This white has a lot of staying power - you could easily pair it with foods typically off limits to whites.

Needs time to breathe, as it changes considerably on the nose and palette with time.

On the nose, it gives up candied strawberries, smoke, cedar and earth. On the palette it offers tart cherry, minerality and a hint of spice.

Structurally a nice, balanced wine with just the right acid drive to create a good finish.
