Still quite tannic. Even after a couple days open. I’ll give the next bottle a couple more years before giving it another try. Flavors are all there. Just needs to soften the edges a bit more.

I was a little worried when I first opened it. But it improved dramatically over the next 2 days and was drinking deliciously by the end. I guess this could use another couple of years to really peak.

With another couple years under its belt, I think this has come into a really good place. Nothing noteworthy, but certainly a very nice weeknight bottle. Improved over 2-3 days in the fridge.

Meh. Pleasant, but not really barolo. Improved after a couple of days in the fridge. Smooth and ready to drink. Tart cherry and red fruit. Missing any floral tones. And a bit light on structure. Again... a perfectly pleasant bottle... just doesn't hit the spot if you're looking for barolo.

Not bad. But doesn’t really present as a Syrah. Leans toward red fruits. More crisp versus rich. Again. Not bad. Doubt it will improve much more. But feels like it’s still got a few years in it.

Obviously much too young. But still very enjoyable after a five hour decant. Probably could have used more. Will wait 3-5 years before my next bottle. The bones are definitely there for great drinking in the future.

Wow... Seriously, just a great QPR. Had another Rioja reserva last night that cost 4x more and this was clearly better. Certainly no need to wait on this... But should hold on for a few more years.

Delicious. Powerful typical nose. A little lighter on the palate. At peak. For a 2013, I'd drink up.

Very nice on the nose. A pleasant mix of yeasty bread, red candied fruits, and wet slate. More restrained on the palate with the tannins obviously still holding strong. It's still very dry, but not too much to be enjoyed with good fatty foods. Going to wait a few more years on the next bottle.
