8/15/23, 9:59 AM - Interesting. Bottle variation here must be real. I've opened 2 stunning bottles of the 2000 over the past year.
5/28/23, 5:49 AM - Right on- just saw your note on Berserkers. May tack this on as an update. CHeers.
2/22/23, 6:29 AM - The majority of the wines received healthy decants (~60minutes) and went back into bottle. All the Yeah! Wines need even more air time. The Evangelhos could stand more time/air. The Rosewoods are mostly ready. The Merlot is excellent. Wish I had more. Still youthful. Cheers.
12/7/22, 5:44 AM - Your note nails perfectly our experience with both 95s last night. Uncanny the similar reaction we had.
12/4/22, 6:39 AM - Hey thanks! I’m with you- multiple vintages midsts 90s early 00s- none have really moved me. I keep waiting.
9/29/22, 5:57 AM - @Bill Bell's new favorite wine. It was a hit.
6/20/22, 6:58 AM - Thanks @decantingqueen. It was a good weekend!
1/27/22, 12:02 PM - Even newer resolution: pay attention to what the hell I am opening! lol Thanks, Mike
1/23/22, 10:17 AM - Glad to hear it! I've got a few, but we will need more! :)
12/25/21, 4:35 AM - Thank you!
10/10/21, 11:38 AM - I have half the bottle left for tonight. We'll see. Love the wines. I like the Rottgen bottles more in their youth. These Uhlens need much time.
9/17/21, 12:58 PM - I'm thinking I've had two compromised bottles, so I can't really say. I would stand up for a day or two and maybe just open a bit in advance and then consider decanting after getting a read on it.
6/18/21, 6:31 AM - Thank you!
4/22/21, 5:03 AM - Hi there- Boillot was also 2018. You could see Boillot's pedigree as it sat in the glass, and it may be a more triumphant wine in 10 years. But, wow, it was hard to tell them apart last night. That X Novo is serious juice!
3/22/21, 12:52 PM - Hi there - November '17
3/18/21, 5:55 AM - Similar reaction to a bottle opened a month ago. Uncharacteristically uninteresting. Hoping it's just closed up for a bit.
3/17/21, 4:19 AM - Stumbled upon this one and enjoyed it. Your sentiments are spot on!
3/16/21, 6:36 PM - All winning on this one. I've got a few and still going back for more. A fellow Decaturite? Let's drink some wine!
3/17/21, 4:18 AM - Hi Steve,Don't think we have met. I never spent too much time at ph. Maybe our paths crossed at some point - Dennis
2/10/21, 9:35 AM - Thanks for the confirmation and shout out. Cheers.
9/13/20, 9:39 AM - Thanks for the input. I am Still learning on Oregon pinots and thought that '16 might be part of the problem here. Going to try a '16 Hayden Fig tonight. I have some random bottles to check on.
9/1/20, 4:47 AM - Yes, just the slightest oxidative notes, as it's not really made in that style, but it gives a depth/roundness to the wine that is quite appealing. Cheers.
8/5/19, 8:51 AM - Very well could be. Even for a tough vintage, it was atypical Roulot. I have three bottles, all same local source. Will try another soon and see.
12/19/18, 7:46 AM - This was excellent last night. Thanks Mike.
12/16/18, 6:19 AM - Womp womp
11/26/18, 12:39 PM - I hear you. I am slowing down on buying Metras. Bought a bunch when I first got hooked, now, not sure that was so wise.
10/30/18, 6:39 AM - I hope yours shows as well as mine did. I have one more bottle as well, What a treat. Thanks for reaching out with the comment. Let me know when you open your bottle. Cheers!
5/20/18, 2:23 PM - Thanks, Frank! You and several other Bersersker's comments lead me to seek this out. Glad I did. Cheers.
8/8/17, 11:39 AM - All locals, snipes, guys who have long histories with Arcadian and lots of the wines.
2/23/15, 2:50 PM - I don't remember, but it was more than a few minutes. It was consumed over the course of the night. Don't give up on it. They just need lots of air.And you have to kind of enjoy that slightly sherried/oxidative note.
Thanks for letting us know about this problem. We will review your comments and be in touch soon with an update.
