I'll reserve rating. Thought I might pop a bottle and enjoy the fruit$ of my labor. Expectations can be deceiving. This wine did not exceed my expectations, in fact, writing about this vino made my left eye twitch!
My thoughts:
Predominate alcohol, polarizing tannins, fruit picked late, pedestrian. Expected more.

6/26/21, 1:35 AM - Hi Mark1npt, yes 2.5 hours of air in the bottle and consumed over an additional 1.5 hours with some delicious lamb loin chops. Even at the 4 hour mark there was no ah-hah moment or anything memorable. The 14.9 (15) ABV might have something to do with it. The quality of fruit was definitely present but I'm not sure I'm sold on the staying power of these high alcohol content wines.

Well balanced but very one dimensional at this stage, grippy tannins. I expected more. Will hold my other bottles.

I can only surmise that once the tannins integrate more this wine will be superb...will be keeping track of the notes here.
