Lovely dolcetto. Powerful cherry like note core that gives it power but acid and precision keep it from being heavy. Works well with those lookong for finesse when they have their bbqed meats.

An incredibly ethereal wine. So light in alcohol and such delicate savoury and long lasting notes. Different to what the regular wine drinker might be expecting - one for the academics!

Cracking mineralogy. Lacks a bit of complexity - more pure fruit rather than secondary and tertiary.

Similar to its cousin. Cracking value. Rich but fresh. Amazing with steak or anything with salt and pepper in it!

Cracking value - good acid and freshness. Dark Blueberries and well integrated tannins. This is Cahors done with approachability, done well.

Lovely oxidative note with a good amount of acid to keep the party alive. I got yellow notes but hard to pin point - yellow apple, yellow kiwi. Good length, easy drinking, good wine. Great flavour considering they managed to keep this at 13%

Great QPR - fresh, zesty, salty, easy with starters and food. A good one to have up your sleave for easy going friends.

Agree with MRGARRETH - lovely fruit notes, big round, soft tannins - well integrated, juicy with decent acid - but wow - too much alcohol unfortunately. Heat for days.

Great wine - not cheap. A good level of acidity, and some brighter more lush red notes coming through from the Grenache with obviously that dark black undertone from the Shiraz. Good wine - perfect for the BBQ or London's autumnal weather!

Not a great deal of complexity but very very smashable and fun. Hard to beat the quality for the price at 12 pounds!

Great zippy Beaujolais. This has this this concentration and silky core that gives it a bit more interest than your other 'drink me now' Beaujolais styled wines. Good QPR in my opinion.

Beautiful Barolo. Tannins are fully integrated on this - soft supple and barely noticeable. The give strength and weight but no grip in the mouth. What is noticeable is the long length, the gentle bust present acid, and the gloriously elegant red cherry. This is one for Barolo drinkers that like pretty, cherry, red currant like notes, not masculine and bold Barolo. I loved it and it is in a good drinking window!

Quite zippy - the notes below do a great job of summarising this 'old age new age wine'. Jerez is a beautiful area and the sea shell saline bruised apple notes are delicious. I can see how this isn't a wow wine but I still think the QPR is great. 27 quid from shrine to the vine!

This wine punches weigh above its weight from a QPR perspective. A good solid core of flavour - I can't add to the already long list of flavours in the reviews below. Somehow this wine manages to deliver real concetration, weight and depth but stay fresh, light and nimble. Seriously good winemaking and grapes here. I got more red fruit flavours that had swirls of dark mushroom, and cherries through it. It can definitely age if you have time and space but seriously enjoyable now.

Dark, desnse, gritty and will probably need more time to spring into itself. Lovely concentration and good acidity make this a very promising wine for an autumnal meal!

Great note from Papies below. Riper stone fruit with a touch of oxidation and lovely salinity and minerality. I was a big fan of this wine, but was not for everyone!

Great acid, and great texture. The amphora just really makes this wine intriguing and interesting. It makes the fruit taste more yellow and ripe and rounded, with this super mineral saline finish. Beautiful with mussels and seafood!

Nice sappy, fresh, zingy dolcetto that hits the typical notes of crunchy blueberries. Probably not a WoW wine, but for its price, it sits in a nice spot of value. Good acid, nice length and decent texture. A good wine!

Beautiful saline note with some added almost yeasty notes. This is seriously good value wine. Anyone that likes a more savoury start to their night will get a kick out of this pristine wine with almost green olives for fruit notes.

I dropped my bottle on the floor when I was carrying it, so I can only write a brief note on what I tasted when I got on my hands and knees with a straw. I wanted a feminine, well integrated tannins barolo with plenty of elegant red cherry notes. This was exactly it. Not super structured and dark fruited but more red fruit with racy acidity and a strong chalky tannin back bone. Lovely....for the one sip!

Super mineral and textured. A very cool and interesting concept with the grape, you get a slight orange peel amaro esque note, but really it is lovely minerality and purity that sings through here with a silky smooth texture and a very long length for the price!

Really good QPR at 22 pounds. Quaffable and not overly complex but bright acid and a cool way of showing off Temp - not the racy red fruit dominated Temp, but darker and denser and more velvety. Lovely.

Amazing QPR and a wine that is so easy to drink but only because it is so well made without making the drinker get academic whilst drinking it.

This should be in the WSET curriculum. It is pure grenache - the red fruits, the weight, the depth and the salient pure long finish. Great QPR right here and a good representation of what Grenache really does taste like - what it adds to all the blends in the area. I had this slightly chilled for an even more refreshing kick and wasn't disappointed.

Flawless. So much mineral, saline, salty, volcanic goodness in this glass. It is pure, and precise. High tension with a long finish. Not the cheapest but given Santorini's production and scarcity it makes sense.
I had this with muscles in a cream and white wine sauce it all just sung. Enjoy it chaps!

Great quality to price ratio. Those that like mineral almost salty/saline flavours with a good squeeze of citrus of the lemon kind, will love this wine. It is zippy and taught and just a fun wine to drink - not too serious and neither is the price!

Bright, sappy, full bodied pinot from Burgundy. Bought from Shrine to the vine for 44 pounds, it had the quality, length and finesse worthy of the price. I think it was a smidge heavy rather than being pretty and light but worked wonderfully with food.

One dimensional but balanced alcohol and acidity so the quality for the price and style is very good. Slight notes of chocolate but mostly blue berries in flavour.

Made from the white wine in the area as opposed to typical palomino amontillado. This wine was lovely, more saline and green olive than pure butterscotch. A really nice concentrated long sherry by Hidalgo.

Concentrated, delicious and well......sugar and acid was totally in balance. I was worried that a VORS PX would just be too heavy and too full, but this was power and length for days. Well done!

Lovely lovely village level burgundy at a somewhat reasonable price. Noble Rot has put this as one of their top 20 wines of the decade! So expect the price to rise accordingly. Long flavour, lovely red aromas and tightly balanced - great wine.

Rich and opulent. The alcohol is high, very high, but the acid and flavour balance it out so you never feel like you are drinking a spirit. A wonderful barbecue wine for sure.

Lovely core of red currants and black pepper with that seaweed umami flavour that the winemaker manages to infuse into his grenache. Great QPR for this cult Spanish Grenache.

Delicious. Jagged this bottle from the winery. Those that know sherry know how lovely a Palo can be and this is up there. Length is endless and the burnt caramel delicious. The other notes below mine do it justice, but enjoy this very special bottle of wine.

Angelic, but also round and full. Slightly off dry but pure to the pink musk, white flowers and creamy peaches we expect from great Mosel Riesling. Length was on point and the alcohol and acid was super balanced. Nice!

Delicious - mousse on this is gorgeous. Full, round and flowing. I got more red skinned fruits than lemon as some others are saying. It was so drinkable. The right balance between acid and fruit but still so fresh! Pretty sharply priced, a real treat.

Lovely silky plush tannins. Bright crunchy tart raspberries that evolve into a more dark liquorice flavour on the palate. Great length of flavour. Acid is bright and it is wonderful to drink this over a nice meal with friends and family. No complaints!

This is from vine trail and it is pretty bang on:

A blend of all Eric’s Vacqueyras younger vines as opposed to Les Restanques' old vines. The three varieties are destalked 100%, vinified separately and then blended before cuve ageing. It has a beautiful dark plum colour, with a fresh black cherry nose intermingled with violets, pine, ink, and smoke. On the palate there is vigour and depth balanced by a discreet minerality and a 'belle fraîcheur' despite the heat and concentration of the 2020 vintage.

The Shiraz and Mouvedre are big here - I got a lot of black pepper. Slept well that night, ha!

A lovely wine - bright and lingering acid. Almost like they picked tiny concentrated grapes that are tight but densely packed with a black liquorice flavour. Delicious and the texture/body/weight is in harmony with the wine. An easy crowd favourite. Decant for an hour or so!

Stonking bottle of classico. The old vines here give a real richness to this chianti. Dark fruiters but still with a touch of red this is big boy classico but still fresh and tasty.

Apples with a touch of yeasty funk. What keeps things above water is the great acid levels that keep the wine tight and fresh. Quite a nice and enjoyable bottle at a fair price.
