A very balanced but powerful Cal Cab. Mixed red and blue fruit, some yeasty notes. Will be interesting to try again in a few years. I was expecting more extraction and oak, instead the wine was very balanced.

4/5/22, 6:28 PM - I opened and poured about 20 minutes later. I had it open for about 36 hours, but it remained pretty consistent over that entire period.

This is an immense fruit bomb, like 90's Aussie level fruit bomb. The only thing missing is the heavy dose of oak. Massive black and red fruit. It actually feels pretty out of joint. First bottle of four, so time will tell.

Might be one of the best Bordeaux blend from WA I've ever had. Profound black fruit, blue fruit flavor with a solid oak back bone. Decent acidity for the style.

9/9/18, 7:53 PM - Typically, I don't decant for any real length of time unless the wine shows sign of settlement or is otherwise old and I suspect settlement. Thus, I believe I popped and poured. However, I also take 2 days to drink because my wife doesn't drink wine. So, this comment should take into account the entire two day period of drinking. Hope that helps. The 2013 really worked for my palate.
