Quite wonderful aged WA Chard. The various components are all still there, some oak, fruit, minerality, but all nicely wound together.

First day open was pretty amazing. Big wine, but very balanced with blue fruit balancing nicely with pretty resolved tannins for this early. Second day, a little more extracted and took on a more plummy extracted flavor. Third day, backs off the extraction a bit and presented like a calmed down version of Day 1.

Everytime I open one of these I plan to drink it over 2 days, and everytime I empty the bottle in one night. I don't know what else to say, it's a brilliant bottle of wine.

Really well made, very balanced, nothing out of place. Long finish, closer to a white Burgundy then to a typical WA Chardonnay.

Lots of funk as this is such an early open. No olive in the funk, just leaves and earth. Laser like black fruit that evolves to a mouth filling effect. Long, long finish.

Amazingly primal at 20 years out. This bottle could have gone another 10 years easily. Very pronounced black fruit and spice. Multi-layered with a long finish.

Good basic Grenache, on the sweater end of the spectrum. However, these is a dose or iron behind the sweet fruit, so not completely one dimensional.

Tale of two wines. Day 1, for about 4 hours, very primal, fruit forward, not that different from the result of opening in 2016. Day 1 late and into Day 2, much more like a Bordeaux of slightly older provenance, leaves, soil, spice, plum. Very interesting experience.

Interesting journey over 3 days. Days 1, the wine was unprepossessing, sort of light with good fruit but otherwise a little less than expected. Day 2, the wine has fleshed out a bit with more stuffing than day 1, revealing a medium body, enjoyable Pomerol. Day 3 shows hints of what could come with a more developed mixture of red fruit, leaves and some green pepper.

Day 1, a well constructed Cal Cab, a little reticent on day 1, but well balanced and enjoyable. Day 2, a little more forward than Day 1 and showed more plum flavors, exhibiting a fair amount of extraction, almost Paso like.

Infanticide. This took a full 24 hours open to come around. A little after first opening, this is a tannic beast. After 24 hours the tannins had calmed and the fruit started to come forward. Very nice PS, very much a heavy hitter, but well balanced otherwise.

This bottle has a very pronounced red cherry flavor to it, which I find really differs from previous vintages that exhibit blue and black fruit. Thus a much tarter flavor profile. Still well in balance and enjoyable.

Consistent with prior bottles, interestingly, this has not changed much over the last number of years. No rush to drink, but I also don't see a lot of additional growth in this vintage.

A very balanced but powerful Cal Cab. Mixed red and blue fruit, some yeasty notes. Will be interesting to try again in a few years. I was expecting more extraction and oak, instead the wine was very balanced.

This is an immense fruit bomb, like 90's Aussie level fruit bomb. The only thing missing is the heavy dose of oak. Massive black and red fruit. It actually feels pretty out of joint. First bottle of four, so time will tell.

Not as much funk on opening as I've had in the past which could be a result of it being a bit older. Palate moves from black fruit to green olives, to iron and strawberries. A multi layered joy to drink.

Enticing nose, olive, flowers, a little green vegetable and a bit of funk. Still very young tasting up front, strawberry, some savory notes, iron. Mouth coating but with a good edge of acidity. Longish finish.

One of the best Turley wines I've had in a while. Very fresh strawberry nose. Add spice for the palate. Pretty well resolved at this point, but was not anywhere near a downhill trajectory yet.

Hard to keep my hands off it, so opened one pretty early in its life. Fantastic WW Cab which also happens to be really nice right away. Obviously still very red fruit/black fruit driven at this point, but nothing out of balance.

Still pretty youthful, Day 1 is quite vibrant with some oak still present and blue fruit. Day 2 is a tad more plummy with some light tertiary development. Quite nice.
