Deep dark black cherry colors, this one was darker than expected – strong concentrated nose of dark red and black fruits with a hint of hot black tea (inviting) – on the palette wild ripe blackberry, dark chocolate – tannins were firm, but not too firm – lingering finish was interesting for a Malbec with a mouth feel that begs for another sip - this was a Pnp, but will try a decant the next time.

Not a lot of experience with Malbec, but this one made me want to try more. Enjoyed the bold flavors, structured mouth feel and long finish – I like it.

Paired with a green egg grilled rib-eye (as a Malbec should be) at the home front in Virginia Highland, Atlanta with great friends. Good wine for the money.

Bright ruby cherry colors, not as dark as I would have expected – oaky, graphite, blackberry, dark plum and bold coffee aromas – hint of vanilla dark cherry – same on the palette - added dark plum combined with well integrated tannins - an hour decant (maybe should have been a bit longer)

This is was an enjoyable, silky smooth wine – finish was medium with lingering green pepper, spice and vanilla – was good both by itself and with food. I am a fan of Silver Oak as this is the wine that got me into wine.

Paired very nicely with a rib-eye and green egg blistered peppers and great friends at the home front in Virginia Highland, Atlanta.

Dark, fountain pen ink inky - aromas of grandma’s blueberry cobbler, menthol & that unique Pritchard Hill mountain sage linger just under the rim – added flavors of graphite and a hint of spice roll along the tastebuds.

Solid mouthfeel and a lingering finish that lasted 60 seconds – like a curtain call with your favorite band - an hour in it opened up nicely – tannins tight prior to that, but continued to smooth out with a hint of tangy raspberry on the palette. – the influence of Melka is noted in this fine example of higher elevation Napa Valley cab.

Paired with some Georgia Florida college football (Georgia won) – just received my allocation and had to try this one – it did not disappoint, made me smile and I’m glad I have more to bust out.

100% cabernet sauvigion, estate grown – 15.5% alc. - 400 cases - $265

Dark, inky and inviting – hints of spice, menthol, saddle leather and dark black fruits seem to float out of the glass like fog on a fall morning – rich aroma flavors carry into the mouth with added dark plum paired with balanced tannins that smooth out with an hour decant

This is one of my top 3 syrahs as it brings it every single time and invites Melka knows how to craft a wine that sings every bottle – if you are a Syrah fan, give Laly a call at the winery and grab a dose of this one

Paired beautifully with some Carolina Poulet Rouge at Tiny Lou’s in Atlanta

100% Syrah from Paderewski, Paso Robles - $95

Well this one brought it - dark garnet color testifying to what was coming - if, soft, South Georgia blackberry flavors, hints of sage & vanilla and some raspberry (and I don’t really care for raspberry but this was good) - an hour in the glass resulted in a silky smooth finish. I’m glad I picked up a case of this one and might stock up with more - it’s a good one for the money.

Dark, inky typical old world version of Syrah - had that old world funk going on on the nose which reminded me of an old French dude in a tweed jacket. Although I prefer the new world, this version was a nice one to taste alongside a Melka rendition.

Man o Man - this bad boy was one smooth ride - an hour decant only improved the smoothness. Dark ruby color, currants, a little spice and a finish I wished would not stop. This is one of my favorites.

Had it down at Frederica GC on St Simons. with Trey, Carol & Bret

What can I say? Enjoyed this velvety soft glass of goodness with Austin, Kaitlin, Teri & Taureen at Murphy's Atlanta. Intense but smooth layers of currants, ripe blackberry and a hint of vanilla - very, very nice long finish. Only got better after an hour or so decant. You got to love Pritchard Hill and Austin's first round. DeeLish

Has to go on the All Time Favorites list for me.

Smooth, rich nose with touches of oak. Opened up nicely with black currant/cherry/blackberry. Very enjoyable, velvety go-to wine for me. A 30 min to 1 hour decant allows a near perfect presentation. This one always produces and paired superbly with Green Egg grilled tenderloin.

Good golly Ms Mollie - incredible nose, fresh & lively - makes you want to breathe deeper than possible. Smooth tannins compliment a perfect blend of dark fruits, blackberry & cassis, along with a finish of dark chocolate & graphite. May have tried this one a little early but I couldn't wait, had to try one.

Floral on the nose with flavors of sour cherries, raspberries and fresh plum. A lighter cab blend that went well around the fire after dinner.

Dark plum, ripe blackberry, rasberry and spice - Definitely black tea on the finish - This one improved significantly after an hour or so decant - Pritchard Hill is a special place - if you are a California Syrah fan you need to find some of this and lock it down - incredible value

Dark fruits, olive tapenade and raisins - got better over time, needs a two hour decant - looking forward to the next bottle after a bit more air time
